First of all, thank you for the great work on Thunderbird for Android. I've been following the community discussions and noticed that many users are reporting recurring issues related to email syncing, notifications, account setup, search functionality, and overall app performance.

As a suggestion, it might be worthwhile to collaborate with experienced mobile app development companies such as AppVerticals. Their expertise in Android application development and user experience could help enhance performance, improve stability, and address some of the common issues users are facing.

I'm not affiliated with AppVerticals—I simply believe that bringing in additional expertise or consulting with companies that specialise in mobile app development could benefit the Thunderbird Android project and improve the experience for the growing user base.

What do other community members think? Would collaboration with external mobile development experts be something worth considering?

Pixel 8a, 256GB/120GB free, Android 16, Thunderbird v16.1 Thunderbird stopped sending and receiving emails after several months. My storage is not full. I also deleted messages to be sure. I checked my android settings as indictated in the troubleshooting guides and have been unable to resolve problem. I have it set to automatically download emails. Manually checking emails by using the "refresh" button does not work either.

I have numerous Ionos email addresses. No problem seeing all received emails in Thunderbird app on my Windows PC. But Android app does not show some emails, despite synchronising numerous times. Problem is often with emails not showing in the unified inbox on the Android app. Also a problem with sent emails not showing. Today I looked for an email I had sent four days ago, and it was not in my Android sent folder. Synchronised, still not there. Synchronised again, still not there. Went online to Ionos and opened the sent email. Synchronised Android Thunderbird again and then it appeared. Why can't Anroid Thunderbird see certain emails? Problem seems to be especially bad with emails I have previously opened in Thunderbird on my Windows PC. Doing so seems to make the emails invisible to Android Thunderbird.

I'm using a Galaxy22 and have T/b for Android installed and ready to go. I've followed all the directions to import everything from my T/b on my desktop, which is the latest as I do automatic updates. But when I open T/b for Android, I see something called "unified inbox" with absolutely nothing in it, just a blank screen and a "compose message" icon on the bottom right. Where's my stuff? Please help! I can't handle Samsung email anymore, it won't send out any messages.

Within my Outlook.com email account i have an archive folder with 36 sub folders.

In the Thunderbird app for Android only 2 of these sub folders are visible.

I cannot find any setting that to resolve this issue

Thunderbird for Android: When sending a message, the copy moved to the Sent folder is not marked as "read" after moving. Messages sent from the Android client and subsequently auto-filed into "Sent" or "Sent Mail" are still marked as "unread" after the move. They should be marked as "read" as part of the move, just like with the Windows client. I've searched the various Settings and I can't find any related setting.

How do I make Thunderbird the default app on my Android 14 phone? It is not in default apps or in the settings menu in Thunderbird on in Apps under the Android settings.

Recently started using Thunderbird on Pixel 9a, Android v16. Just installed newest update to OS. Emails do not sync properly. New messages that are in my Gmail do not show up in Thunderbird until I do a manual update. This is true for all folders, but especially trash and spam. For example, messages that appeared in my Gmail trash folder this morning did not show up in Thunderbird trash at 7 pm MST this evening. When I did a manual sync, 10 messages from this morning suddenly showed up in Thunderbird. In Thunderbird settings, Background sync is set for Always. What do I need to do?

I have a visual impairment. Iwould like to use Thunderbird for Android but after installation AND BEFORE CONFIGURING ANY EMAIL ACCOUNT, I need to play with it (specially settings), so I can check whether I can use it or not. Things like font size, theme and colors are crucial. But Thunderbird does not allow this. It requires an email account. It is a bit ridiculous, I don-t even know if I'll be able to use it!!!

I still don't get links in my emails I have tried everything in the forum but no luck I actually get the expanded version. This is only the case with the android app

Hi All,

I am installing Thunderbird from official GitHub releases and I am wondering why I am getting info from Obtainium that thunderbird-14.0 is something called "pseudo-release".

Can someone explain me this term regarding GitHub apk files? Is it OK to install it?

I installed MThunderbird on my Android phone today, using a QR Code to import settings. Receiving messages works perfectly, while sending messages is a mission impossible. I keep getting the message when sending: "Authentificanion failed". I have the same settings on my computer, and Thunderbird works normally, both sending and receiving messages. I don't know where the problem could be, so please help!

I'm also attaching a screenshot of the outgoing server from the desktop computer, which is also set up on the mobile application.

On my desktop, thunderbird does an awesome job cutting spam. While on the mobile its terrible, not just are most spam mails coming thru but some legit emails are getting flagged. Is there some way to make it mimic the desktop.
