My user experience on Firefox is being severely impacted and is making me angry. I watch the updates calendar they are once a month. So why can i not go a whole week it seems with a necessary Firefox update to my browser that impacts the performance of websites. I like to have multiple tabs open over a week or more. I don't want to close and reopen my tabs every time I want to use my computer. SO WHY are there SO many updates. It's seriously making me want to uninstall your browser and I have been using Firefox on multiple devices for years. More than 20 years now. It's seriously ridiculous to have a major update every week or even every other week where I have to shut down and save my work on ALL of my tabs just to update Firefox. I have never remember history and I am going to uninstall and reinstall from even greater security because I have serious concerns about the amount of data that big tech companies share with 3rd Parties and the government. I am an honest American citizen and I HATE being surveilled and having my private life sold to the highest bidder. But even though. the safety of your browser is a positive feature it becomes very difficult to WANT to use Firefox when my workflow is CONSTANTLY interrupted.

Seriously, You JUST updated on the 23rd/24th and now just two weeks later there's already ANOTHER update. And who even knows when that one dropped. I only checked it because sites were acting up. And EVERY TIME a site acts up it's because of an update. You have interfered with my user experience with Youtube, and Multiple Streaming Services, and Multiple Chat bots. It's thoroughly dis-satisfactory and disruptive, and ANNOYING. I want a tool that protects me while I am on the web. I do NOT want a tool that ruins my internet experience every week.

When trying to add my Outlook account, I am stuck at the authentication step. The webpage doesn't work. The screen recording I've attached is what happens on the second time and later; the first time it shows a different page (saying "The app named Thunderbird will be granted these permissions [... a list of permissions]; allow?" and I clicked "Allow") but it doesn't work either.

There is a "在 浏览器 浏览器中打开" option ("Open in browser browser" haha; it refers to Xiaomi system browser") but it opens a "Cannot find this page" error page. The "在 Edge 中运行" ("Run in Edge") button is unclickable.

Just installed Thunderbird on Windows 11. Have two accounts: UN1@hotmail.co.jp and UN2@hotmail.co.jp. I created them in exactly the same way, but one of them works without problem, the other shows me "Command Error 12". After searching for a solution on the forum, I understand that none of the suggestions work. The error repeats. What can it be and is there a way to fix this error?

I donate monthly to Thunderbird and subscribe the the Thunderbird Newsletter. A few times I have received an email from Thunderbird Newsletter with no letter body to the email - only the header that says, Update Profile"

I need more information than that before I screw up something that is working fine. A two word header on an email does not provide enough information. I need to know: What profile - my Thunderbird email profile or is there another one for the Newsletter? If the email is referring to my email profile, why does it needs updating? Where to update it? Why is there no message in the body of the Newsletter email? I also would like the link to the Newsletter.

Your support articles have no information about resolving this issue. The Thunderbird Newsletter email is a "no reply."

Well, I don't know how I did it, but:

I'm trying to sync my Firefox between 2 PCs. I had trouble with it, and now the situation is: a) my source PC asks me to create a new profile as it spits the dummy on my existing one; it does not offer me the option of creating a new account b) my destination PC does the same. In both cases, when I choose the "Sync and save data" menu option, then enter my email, I get the message: "This profile was previously synced to a different account. To keep your data...To sign in using <email address>, create a new profile." Creating a new profile does not have all the configuration and info that I have in my current profile.

It would be nice if I could reset everything back to square one with the sync process. Does anyone have a good suggestion?

I am running Firefox 147 on a Windows 10 desktop PC. I am using DualSafe Password Manager. However, the 'Ask to save passwords' option is ticked in my Settings (see attached screenshot), and also greyed out so I can't alter it. Firefox keeps asking to save passwords for sites that I sign into. Can anyone suggest how I can fix this. To my way of thinking, if a thrid-party password manager is installed, Firefox should see this (it does) and automatically set itself to not ask.

replaced a windows 10 laptop with a Linux Mint 22.3 laptop. Used Sync to transfer profile to the new laptop. Logged into the banking account (BECU.org) successfully. When trying to transfer money from checking to savings, the transaction failed with a statement that the date was invalid. The date was valid. A separate Linux Mint computer that never had a windows profile synced does not show this problem. Disabling all extensions did not fix this problem.

Could you make a shortcut to switch on between "dark mode" and "bright mode" in the mobile app browser + pc desktop browser?

There are enough webpages that don't show correctly in dark mode. It is not convenient to change the dark mode each time in settings!

I have The Thunderbird email client on my Android phone. It worked for a while, but is no longer downloading emails. The only thing that shows is "Load 100 more" , but when I tap on it it does not load anymore emails.

I selected the "To save disk space, do not download:" checkbox while I was traveling with restricted internet. I've deselected the checkbox now, but the downloads are still restricted. Apparently deselecting did not unset a flag in the settings? Does anyone know how to edit the settings for each account to do this manually?

I'm a retired Desktop Support tech more familiar with Outlook, still very new to Thunderbird. I enjoy supporting family & friends and often email urls for various reasons. What setting do I need to tweak in Thunderbird to get long urls that I paste into emails to send to wrap within the composed email?

Hi folks, I restarted Firefox today on my Macbook and now the Restore Previous Session option is no longer working. I've tried the Sessionstore fix described here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-restore-browsing-session-backup but it is not doing the trick. I've used it multiple times in the past and it has always worked up until now.

I've since opened a couple of new tabs and then shut Firefox down to see if the Restore Previous Session will bring those particular tabs back. However the Restore previous session remains greyed out. I suspect it may be to do with the latest update to 149.0.2. I downloaded and installed that two days ago, but only restarted this morning so I think the update would have been done then. Are there known issues with this update, and is a fix coming? I noticed that when replying to messages that have a reply-to header, my own message is not included in the thread with the first message. There is, however, a small "reply" icon next to the email in the list. Is there a setting I need to toggle, or should I report a bug?
