Hi Folks, Recently I have been having an issue with accessing a particular website which is asus.com and the nature of the issue is as follows. Every time I attempt to login I receive the following error message.

The browser could not find the host server for the provided address.

   "Check the address for typing errors such as ww.example.com instead of www.example.com.
   If you are unable to load any pages, check your device’s data or Wi-Fi connection."

It should be noted that this is the only website that I am having this issue any and all assistance in resolving this extremely annoying issue will be greatly appreciated

I seem to recall that in the past I was able to change my "From" email address to another one for a 1-time use. Either I forgot how to do that or that option is no longer available. Can you tell me how to do it? I want to use an address that cannot be tracked for some emails (xx@duck.com). Thanks.

Firefox used to close completely when I close the last tab. The last update broke that behavior. How can I get it back the way it was? This new behavior is sick!!!

I cannot download e-mail from Mozilla Thunderbird. It says "Done" in the lower left corner and will not download when I hit the Get Messages key in the upper right corner. Please help me to be able to download my email.

I used to be able to clear all data with no problem, but now it's holding to Gmail login data (I think that's the problem, anyway). I clear all data after each browsing session and have been doing so for a long time, but it's not working anymore. But it is working on my husband's laptop and we're on the same version of Windows (11) and have the same settings. Can someone please assist in figuring out what's happening behind the scenes? I have 2 machines (Win10 and Win11) with FF 140.3.1esr (32-bit) installed which demonstrates the same failure when I enter one site's url:

PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR

Chrome at the same machines goes at this url w/o any failures. Any ideas what to change on "about:config" in FF to allow it opening this url w/o such error?

I have two Gmail email addresses. One is used for important messages. As of last Thursday I am not receiving some emails sent to this account. I asked sender to use secondary email and they come through. I’m very concerned that I’m missing important messages and need to get this corrected quickly. Please help if you can. If I need to delete Thunderbird I will but hope not.

In Outlook, it would say that "I replied to this message on xxx" in the header (not sure if that is what it is called, but near the top). I found it helpful to at least see if I have already replied to a message received. Is that feature available in TB?

I use Thunderbird as a local archive for my email. I have two accounts in the application: my home email via my ISP (POP) which I predominately use and my gmail (IMAP) which I don't generally use. There are years of messages in folders and sub-folder under the POP account, but nothing under the IMAP.

I’m up to date with Thunderbird at v140.1.0esr (aarch64) on my iMac with Sequoia 15.8.

On 07/22/2025 I went to download some messages via my ISP POP account and saw that a whole bunch of my email folders no longer had any subfolders and were empty of any messages. Some were also duplicated. Please see the attached image.

I haven’t changed any settings in years, and I do not have any add-ins. One of the nice things about Thunderbird has been its solidity and simplicity.

After every session, I would empty my trash and compact.

Suddenly my email seems to be gone along with sub-folders while top level folders are duplicated.

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this? Since I don't do anything fancy with the application and with the suddenness of this issue, I can't image I'm the only person having it? I’m quite concerned I may lose many years’ worth of messages.

For some reason, all my text has been showing up as bold on my Firefox web browser. However, the same sites do not appear as bold on the mobile Firefox app or in a private Firefox web browser.

While I thought it applied to many different fonts, it seems to specifically target Roboto. This is especially troublesome because my photography website has all body text as Roboto:

This was not always the case, but one day everything began appearing bold several weeks ago. Text that is italicized seems to stay in italics and not bold.

Since the last update the following error occurs: If I delete individual entries in the browser history, they don't stay deleted, hey are back after a while.

Is this a bug?

auto filling of password in Android not working properly I mean its not promoting automatically fill the saved password. It also not fill in Android desktop mode. But in pc it's working fine with same login id.

This pop message appeared about 4 hours ago. I still cannot recieved email. Do you know why and how long it before the system is working again.

I have used Thunderbird to manage my google calendar on PC, windows 11, for years. It seems now that when I add an event, hit save and close, it is not saved. All the events show. I can add events on my phone, and they show up in the calendar on Thunderbird, instantly. I just can no longer add events. I can try, but when I save, they do not appear in the Thunderbird calendar, or in Google. I did just recently change my password in Google, and had to re-authenticate Thunderbird, I suspect that's the instigator of the issue. I just feel I'm missing something. One note-if I click on "add account", there is no option for calendar anymore. Maybe this is gone.

I have previous ask questions on how to transfer profiles, local folders, sent messages, and all address from my old Windows 10 PC to a new Windows 11 PC. "David" provided a very help way to transfer the profiles between machines which helped immensely. However, I still do not seem to have the address book file(s).

Here is where I am and what I would like to be able to do.

When I first installed Thunderbird on the new PC, I set it up as an IMAP account with comcast.net. The contacts in the address book were showing. When I copied my Thunderbird profile from the old PC to get my Local Folders, the address book was gone. I repeated the install process and copying process to make sure I was not making an error. The results were the same each time.

What I would like to do is to find and directly copy the address file(s) from the old PC to the new. Is this possible and where are they located?
