Change color of unread and/or new messages

Hello,

When I changed Thunderbird's theme to follow my system theme, it is virtually impossible to see the difference between unread messages and read messages in dark mode. The bold difference is way too faint. I am on a Mac, but I also have a Windows 10 computer with Thunderbird, and an Ubuntu with Thunderbird. I see some posts in the forums from a few years or more ago about changing a .css file to enable customizations. Before I dive into some perhaps deprecated and arcane way to change this, is there a wiki or instruction manual for the latest build of Thunderbird? If not, why not? I love and appreciate the open source community, donating when I can; but I find this to be a big pitfall where I spend hours on end reading forums or random blog posts from years past instead of reading an instruction manual with and index written by people who know the software deeply and know the changes made between versions. If there is already a wiki or a manual, I apologize but even then it should be easier to find from Thunderbird.net or a search engine.
