Thunderbird recently updated itself, and notified me of changes to the software; the About dialog says it is on version 68.9.0 (32-bit) and I am unsure what the version number was before the update.

After the update, the default text mode when composing a message is set to Paragraph, and I would like it to be at (and stay at) Body Text. [Support article] shows how to change the settings, via Options > Options > Composition > General and then unticking 'Use Paragraph format instead of Body Text by default'.

This works well, but the setting is reset to a ticked box whenever Thunderbird is restarted.

Presumably this behaviour is a regression and the setting should be persistent from session to session. Otherwise, what's the point of a Settings panel if they need to be changed every time?
