Suddenly I can no longer open or delete emails on Thunderbird; how can I restore that capability?
I still receive info regarding the sender, email subject, and date/time it was received. Now I have to double click on it to open it, and I am unable to delete it - - that tool bar has disappeared.

hold the shift key while starting Thunderbird, and continue in safe mode when prompted.
