Firefox updated to 40.0.2.

Firefox Addon Signing was introduced and has made my Extensions inoperable.

These are safe Extensions. Password Box Frontier Secure Safe Search Frontier Secure Browser Protection

I understand what Addon Signing does and understand the reason for it.

I have tried to reinstall all of the Extensions.

Password Box does not show up on the Menu Bar so I can use it. I am not sure why.

It only states to use it with caution and I do not see it on your Block List.

My OS is Windows Home Premium SP1

The only remedy i can find is to open another browser to access Password Box and copy the username and password to Firefox.

Any info you can give me would be help full.

Hi Steven, PasswordBox unfortunately was not updated to work with Firefox 40 (its last update was in May). The extension used the old "widget" module to add its button to the tool bar and that module no longer exists in Firefox.

According to a user in another thread, McAfee said they are aware and working on an update, but no time frame was given.

If your online life cannot proceed without PasswordBox, you might need to return to Firefox 39.0.3, bearing in mind the security issues. This article has more information: Install an older version of Firefox.

I have not researched the others you mentioned.

Regarding the not verified message:

In the future, Firefox will refuse to run unsigned extensions. However, the first step being taken in Firefox 40 is to warn you that you have some so you can check for updates and/or inform the publisher about this impending problem. Active publishers are likely to take care of this in time. That is, they just need to submit their add-ons to Mozilla for review and signing some time before Firefox 41 is released.

But inactive publishers of legacy extensions probably will not take action to keep old extensions working. If those extensions have open source licenses, someone else could take them over.

You can also consider to switch to the ESR channel and install the Firefox 38.2.0 ESR version. That way you will receive security updates. Firefox 38.2.0 ESR:
