Yesterday passwords were available in the settings , privacy / security section . I then shut down the computer late evening . The next day I started the computer, started firefox and logged into a website and noticed Firefox password didn't seem to be working. I went to Settings / Privacy/ Security / Passwords and all my passwords were missing . How I get the passwords back

I logged out of my account on firefox and deleted all local data using the privacy settings, I then uninstalled Firefox (on my mac) and I was expecting my passwords to be removed.

I reinstalled firefox and the passwords were still there without me logging in to my account (sync). This is a big thing for me from a security perspective as it means the passwords to login were still left somewhere on my machine without my knowledge.

When you sign out of your account on firefox can you please make it incredibly obvious these are left somewhere and how to delete them / or even better make it default that they are removed from my machine during logout / removal of the app?
