OS: Linux Recently, firefox has been annoying me with not closing a tab when I click the X like normal. I have to right click and close it, or press ctrl w. I am unable to move tabs around, as well. I am not sure since when this next bit has been happening, but I am also unable to interact with many elements of the top bar. The only thing of the firefox ui besides the websites themselves that let me interact with them at the moment is the home button, the new tab button, bookmarked sites, and that box icon on the left corner that lets you look at previously closed tabs. My Firefox's version should around, I believe it is 140.5.0 ESR. Thank you in advance. Update: Upon a restart of firefox, it appears to be working again as normal.. However, the bit with tabs not closing when the X is clicked and not being able to move tabs around has been happening multiple previous times, and it may come back. Update again: The issue does come back after some usage. I'm using KDE plasma with Wayland. I will try what the answer asked, and come back later. Update: This seems to happen very randomly and is not reproducible for me.. It will go a few days being fine, then randomly freeze again. Has not happened under another user, at least not yet.

When searching from the search bar how do I make it to where YouTube doesn't come up as an option for when I'm looking for a video? How do I block YouTube from my search

Can someone help please: - I've been trying to buy some tickets for an event in France. When I access the following from Firefox (140.6.0esr (64-bit)) on Debian GNU/Linux 13 (trixie)) the ticketing purchase options don't show. I have used firefox as my brouser on my PC for years with all my bookmarks and passwords. Now without my old computer, how do I restore all my account passwords and bookmarks as it was before.? I am using windows 11 on a Dell desktop PC. Please help. I am not a computer genius. Is there a phone number to call for live help.

Running Mint on a removable drive on Win 11 machine. Launched Firefox and wanted to sync across devices. Finally ended up here (see attached). There's no "synch & save data" and the other sync at top of settings doesn't follow that path. The image on the Mint desktop doesn't scan within Firefox and using a separate scanner app produces a "do this within FF" error. Confusing and no way to resolve. I tried an extension scanner no help. Attachment shows Sync Now only possible method not correct (what I describe above).2nd image is what I see on PC screen (via Mint).

Hello everyone. From a while now that I need to change to Google Chrome everytime I want to put my credit card details to buy something online. Simply because the text boxes in Firefox don't show. They're simply not there. There are very few websites where they show up for half a second and disappear right after. I've tried disabling "enhanced tracking protection", disabling all my plug-ins, changing the "hardware performance" option, cleaning cache and cookies. Nothing seems to work. I'm going crazy because I like firefox and I want to work always in this one browser, not changing each time I want to do a different task. Similar thing happens with some websites when they freeze before you explore them and the pop-up window comes asking you about the cookies. But some of these, the window disappears right away, so I can see the page but it's stuck, because I didn't manage to accept the cookies option

Please, can you advise me what can I do? It's getting very frustrating, I'm really considering moving everything to Chrome and I don't want to. Thank you.

I've been using Firefox for a while, and while there are many things I like about it, it has always been a resource hog. In the past I could get around this by just killing Firefox in Windows Resource Manager and restarting, but ever since getting a new computer an upgrading to Windows 11, it's gotten worse. Every couple of days my computer freezes for 10 or more minutes, I'm having to do a hard reboot ever few days, and I'm even bluescreening about twice a month. I'm pretty sure Firefox is the culprit because killing it will usually resolve the issue.

I'm wondering if there is some way to put Firefox in a sandbox so it does not consume nearly all available memory and other computer resources. It is by far the biggest consumer of resources on my system and I do not want to dedicate 4GB+ of memory to an app that is just showing a couple of web pages and playing YouTube videos.

Why isn't the Firefox browser supported by many services and social networks? They even state in the warning that Firefox is not supported! Why should users tolerate this?

Hello there

I'm running version 146.0.1 (64 bit) on a Windows 10 machine, and I've found that trying to use printscreen now opens Firefox. I cannot discern why, if it's a Windows setting or a keyboard issue or anything else

things I've tried:

- Disabling every extension - Disabling AMD Radeon - Disabling ShareX (My normal screenshot program) - Factory resetting my Keychron Q6 Max (in case there's some weird macro that got set up)

Any ideas? This might not be a firefox issue, but I figured I'd ask here. Thank you
