I just saw this for the first time. I have limited storage space. My current profile is 3.05g in size. The instructions say Sync automatically updates Firefox profile data such as bookmarks, history, passwords and settings whenever you sign in with your Mozilla account

  • If you use the cloud, is that Onedrive, or something else. Do you get to chose what is backed up, i.e., only bookmarks, history, passwords and settings? Or sessions, extensions as well? Or the entire profile?
  • I had a problem with a corrupted sessionstore.jsonlz4 file that caused major behavior issues. Even after repair, all favicons were gone
  • Do backup options include sessions and extensions?
  • What if a backup was created with a corrupted sessionstore.jsonlz4, or corruption for any other source? Would that be reintroduced?
  • If done locally, are the items compressed? My concern is does that mean Onedrive must be launched on startup. If you try to add any item to Onedrive local storage without Onedrive running, it will not sync
  • Is it possible to have more than on backup at a time in cloud storage?

I am finding Firefox to become less user friendly as time moves on. The latest is that my 1Password 6 app is no longer able to paste my Passwords into the fields on a Web Page. This has become too frustrating, and I cannot imagine why Firefox would do something like this.

Hey FF Support Team,

I am using Firefox version 157.0.1 (64-bit) (mint-001-1.0) on Linux Mint 22.3 Cinnamon. 4 Monitors are connected. In a previous version, don't know which but it is not long time ago, Firefox opened, when I clicked on the task bar icon, always on the monitor, where I moved the mouse to. Now in the writen version above, it is opening on the monitor, where the last Firefox window was closed.

It used to be so easy to tell Firefox where to open a new window, but that feature is gone now. Or is there maybe a setting somewhere to turn it back on? I didn't find anything in about:config, though.

Please do not confuse the behavior described here with the System Settings feature > Moving and Resizing Windows > Location of newly opened Windows, which works differently and is, unfortunately, very impractical.

I hope you can give me the key tip

Best regards Mario

Hi. I tried to log in to my new bank website today and it's asking me, each and every time, to fill out the pass code it has sent to my email. I went in to settings on Firefox and added the website as an exception so that the cookies for that website aren't deleted and, lo and behold, when I try to log in, again the bank website is challenging it as a new device and sending me a one-time code! So, for some reason, it hasn't saved, or at least not registered, the fact that this should be a safe website where cookies are saved!

I'm trying to copy and paste the list of exceptions to show you but it's not allowing me to copy and paste them.

Can you please clarify how I can add these cookies so that the website doesn't see my desktop as a new computer each and every time I log in to my account on my desktop?
