The operating system is Win11 Professional 24H2, the browser version is 141.0 (64 bit)

When I use Firefox to open any webpage and upload files, the browser will freeze. Specifically, the browser cannot perform any operations (including clicking on webpage links, switching tabs, scrolling pages, opening debugging interfaces with F12 ...). The larger the uploaded file, the longer it will freeze. However, for the same website on this computer, using Edge or other browsers, there will be no lag. But I don't think the above malfunctions are caused by the operating system version or browser version. Because this malfunction has been present for a long time, the computer's operating system and browser have been constantly updated, and no matter what version is updated, there will always be this malfunction

Today: DevTools crashed many times, and I’m facing unusual issues. I cannot call through Messenger and cannot connect for video calls. Also, DevTools is not working, even though Firefox Developer Edition is quite good and healthy. Even Firefox is not working well. Please fix this issue quickly.

OLD ISSUE

My Firefox is using a lot of data; I don’t know why.

I am not using Firefox, and it is not running in the background, yet it is always using the internet. So what do I need to do in this situation? I tried to stop the internet connection using outbound rules, but it did not work. It is still using the internet. What is the reason my browser has high data usage? I have high data usage; in fact, in the past 12 days, we've used 30+ GB of data.

I want to view more tabs across the top and opened about:config > browser.tabs.tabMinWidth > and changed value to 75. For the rest of the session it worked. Opening a new session and the tab width is 100 again. Help?

I am trying to add a secondary email address in the security section. I removed the previous one listed tried to add different one and the add button is now grayed out. What is the problem?

FIrefox won't install the bookmarks folder I exported from Chrome. Perhaps the reason is they are a lot (1000+ bookmarks), but I still hope it could work, because I want to switch to Firefox, but won't be able to do this if I can't transfer all my bookmarks.

There are basically two methods. One is the automatic method that is provided during the installation of Firefox. It transferred all the other stuff from Chrome but not my bookmarks. The other is the manual installation in which you download or export the bookmarks from Chrome in a HTML file and then import them in the Firefox bookmark manager. Nothing happens.

Is there any other or better way I can import my Chrome bookmarks? Thanks!!!

Firefox is hindering the website of procore. What worked last month is not working this month and I am finding myself monthly trying to find a workaround to get sites to work properly.

Firefox version: 139.0.4 (64-bit) OS: Windows 11

I have been having issues where Firefox tab will just crash out for no reason it appears and it happens at random times and once the tab start to crash, and I restore it, it will crash again and again. The only way tog et out of the loop is to restart Firefox.

I have tried: Refreshing/Reset, Clearing Cache and History removing all themes, disabling extensions, disabling my anti virus. Turning off hardware acceleration didn't make any different.

I currently have 2 extensions enabled: uBlock Origin 1.64.0 and Bitwarden Password Manager 2025.5.0

In the about:Crashes I have reported them all and they seem to have the same type of reasons in the Raw data/Minidump which are: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_WRITE EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ

Any help as to what to try next?

Since updating to Firefox 141.0 (Win11), I've had issues with performance and on-screen behaviour of dynamic web pages/sites. The problems do not manifest on Chrome, or on a reinstalled version of Fx 140.0.4 on the same computer running at the same time (and with copy of original profile's data files, extensions etc.).

The manifesting problems:

• Screen pointer rapidly switching between standard arrow pointer, mouse with index finger (clickable link) and serifed-style insertion bar, even when positioned on a part of the page that is not a link or a text box. Video (MP4, <1MB) showing behaviour at https://imgur.com/a/absjTh4.
• Browser intermittently fails to respond to browser actions (mouse clicks, keyboard entry)
• Small increase in browser CPU usage

Problem is worse if general CPU usage is already high. (I run BOINC on 10 of 12 CPU cores; problem is not quite as bad if I reduce BOINC to 6 cores and isn't observed when BOINC is temporarily suspended from computing.) The problem happens on dynamic pages (e.g. gmail.com, boardgamearena.com/lobby) but doesn't seem to happen on static pages.

The fact that I can see the problem occurring on Fx 141 but have Fx 140.0.4 working fine at the same time on the same page, suggests that this is a Fx 141 issue. Regular malware scanner and an alternate found no issues.

Happy to do more diagnostic testing if it's helpful.

First the browser did not work. When extensions were disabled it worked. Now the 1 password extension does not work, only if I create a new profile in firefox. I do not want another profile, is there a solution? I also use Add blocker extension. Pages sometimes do not load at all.

It used to be that if I clicked a link, the link would open a page next to the tab where I started. Now it opens the page somewhere remote from the start page and I have to search up and down the tabs to find the associated pages. Why? What is the fix? in the image, there is a yellowish heart shaped tab then off to your right is another. These are closer together and can be MUCH further apart.

I am frustrated by not being able to get these two extensions to work: ClearURLs Copy-n-Paste: Clipboard Upload Simplified

ClearURLs doesn't seem to do anything. URLs do not get cleaned as expected. Copy-n-Paste: Clipboard Upload Simplified just doesn't work. It gets invoked as expected but does not recognize clipboard content nor let me browse for a file.

Could there be anything within my Firefox that is causing the problem? Can live without ClearURLs. I was excited to find it but have been cleaning URLs manually for a long time so all I hoped it would do is save me some effort. OTOH, the Copy-n-Paste extension would allow me to make Firefox my default browser. I am very active in a number of support forums and often post screenshots. The inability to upload clipboard content when using FF makes it too inconvenient to use for these forum sites. Vivaldi and Startpage have this functionality built-in so one of them gets used. I prefer FF as a browser though so I wish I could get Copy-n-Paste to work. Thoughts on how to do that would be appreciated. Other installed extensions are uBlock Origin and Privacy Badger. They both seem to work fine.

I am getting a lot of web client exceptions with version 141. How Can i go back to version 139. This is for my work software. I have no power to make changes to the software. If I can go back an not have automatic updates that would be great. Will I have to delete firefox and download an older version.

Has anybody else experienced a similar problem? Or can you help me trouble shoot this issue please?

I'm busy playing audio in a tab of the browser. The sound quality is good (rich, full, deep). Next, I open a new window by any means (Ctrl+N / Open link in new window / Menu > New window) As the new window appears, the current audio playback becomes tinny / lower quality. After a 3 seconds, the normal good sound quality starts again.

I'm currently using Bluetooth connected headphones and this happens on different headphones. I have to find some wired headphones first before I can try that. This happens with every new window that I open, regardless of the number of open tabs in current windows or how many previous open windows I already have. This happens regadless if audio enhancements of the output device are enabled or not. Spatial sound is set to off. Windows is set to 'do nothing' & will not adjust the volumes of different sounds when I'm using my PC to place or receive telephone calls.

i am a longtime firfox user and donated sometimes for mozilla, after update 141.0 i figured out, that the implemented screenshottool arent using the manual setted folder for downloads and saving it in the normal "user" download folder on my os partition. sry my english isnt very well, i hope its understandable, what my problem is ;)

i hope this is known and will get fixed soon.
