Dear Mozilla Support Team,

I recently had to reset my Windows operating system. After reinstalling Mozilla Firefox, I attempted to sign in to my Firefox account. Unfortunately, I had forgotten my password and had to reset it. Although I successfully signed in after resetting my password, none of my previously synchronized data, including passwords and bookmarks, appeared.

I had performed a synchronization before the reset, so I expected my data to be restored upon signing in. However, this did not happen, and I am now unable to access my important passwords and bookmarks. Could you please assist me in recovering my data? I rely heavily on this information for my daily activities and would greatly appreciate any help you can provide.

Sync Not working

Sync just does NOT work. I installed FF on my Mac brand new and fresh... brand new machine. Signed into Sync. NOTHING. After 6-7 HOURS... nothing. It just gets NOTHING AT ALL from my Windows Desktop.

I've signed out of ALL Firefox/Mozilla sync sessions... signed in clean- all browsers are up to date. And the about:sync-log page shows a LONG streak of errors... NON STOP ERRORS.

Why?! Why can't we just sync extensions to install and bookmarks across machines? How is this that hard for Mozilla?!

Day after day and attempt after attempt of failures for a basic function of the browser.

Here is the text of the latest log and showing constant connection errors- mind you NOTHING is breaking on my internet as I'm often streaming things and watching stuff while surfing, or others in the house are. Our connection, and Firefox getting online, are all working fine. I am at a loss. I don't understand how this is so terribly broken out of the box that you can't just sign in and let it talk to their servers. I know Google has billions behind Chrome, but this shouldn't be so 1990's bad by comparison to Chrome sync.

after installing the new firefox , i figured my passwords are gone and they werent restored from my account.

i received welcome e-mail when i successfully create an mozilla accunt couple of days ago. please assist me !!

everything was fine, when i went to log in at school today, using the same password i always have, it kept coming up as incorrect password, send verification code retry etc, so i decided ok fine let me change password. that worked but my stuff wasnt loading in, ok weird. i get home and theres a little notification by the sync profile area, yeah expected that i changed password. i read up on it and apparently it RESETS MY ENTIRE SYNC. AND NOW NEITHER PASSWORD IS LETTING ME LOG IN. i am not going to risk resetting my password AGAIN on this device as it still has all my saved data. this shouldnt be an issue, i dont know why it said wrong password and made me verify multiple times. please help. i was able to log in perfectly fine to my mozilla account for this very report, but not to sync my data?

Sync is a nightmare. It is so unintuitive! What exactly would be wrong with having separate Export and Import buttons for each of Settings, Addons, Tabs, History, Bookmarks, etc? I have a desktop box and a newer laptop I wanted to get up to date. I pressed the Sync button on the desktop ... By the way, there`s a link below that reads "Connect another device" ... Connect where? Someone is designing these interfaces who has absolutely zero imagination. Anyways, I signed off, moved the ethernet cable to my laptop, signed in, pressed Sync, and voila!, I got my Bookmarks, at least. But I have no idea how to get my tabs and windows. I tried with a "download link" something or other, but it seemed to assume I was sync-ing to a phone, and didn`t work. Any way to get my tabs?

After a fresh install of windows and Firefox, I logged into my account as normal on my PC browser and lost all of my passwords, bookmarks, settings, and everything else when I synced it to Firefox on my iPhone. It's as if my account was reset. There was multiple years of data saved there. Is there a fix to this?

NB2 rebooted and Firefox restarted losing all open tabs; now I would like to bring the tabs from NB1 to NB2; both have synchronisation enabled, but when I go to ‘Settings, synchronisation’ on NB2 it says ‘Synchronising in progress’ and nothing happens. I've also tried going to NB1 and sending a tab to NB2; I select NB2 and nothing happens.

Hi,

I've got Sync on a laptop and phone. My phone will see all the current tabs on my desktop, but the desktop is out of date by about a week no matter how many times I hit Sync Now.

I have signed out and signed in again on my laptop but this did nothing. I saved a new bookmark on my desktop to force a sync, nothing. I did the same on my phone, nothing. Short of signing out on my phone and possibly risk the one that DOES actually Sync, what else can I do?

My phone is an Android, my laptop is using Windows 11. My laptop has not reset recently.
