Someone has hacked into my addressbook. Incoming emails have been blocked and I need to unblock. If I now send and email I do tend to get a reply but the hacker still seems to have control of my emails

I used Linux Mint 21 and exported data to import into Mint22. All the files have been imported but nothing shows up on Thunderbird. How can I install them? Some are very important to me. A couple of screenshots to try and explain better. Any replies to brian/at/casadelpi.casa. Thanks in advance

Win 10.0.19045 , Firefox 131.0. For the last week or so Firefox has crashed out several times a day. What has changed to make this happen, and how can it be prevented?

I have a limit of 1500 emails to receive, and it always deletes up to that number of emails the next day.

Please do something about it, because I set it in the settings so that it doesn't delete

I have Thunderbird installed on two computers, with the same two IMAP accounts. On one computer, I have a bunch of message filters that sort incoming emails into folders. With IMAP, the same thing happens on the mail server – very convenient indeed.

Now I would like to make the same filters on the other computer, but wonder if there might be a caveat if Thunderbird is running on both computers simultaneously. What if the two computers receive the same new email, and decide to move it to a different folder at the same time? Is there any risk of a conflict that will mess up the email, or the entire folder structure?

I have not yet tried this, as I don't know if there is a risk. Anyone with insight on this?

I want to import email addresses into an existing Thunderbird mailing list. I know how to import and create a new list, but not sure on how to add to an existing list without manually tying in all the information.

Created a new Ubuntu 24 something machine. Thunderbird was installed with SNAP. SNAP Sandbox Invalidates Decades of Tutorials on Migrating Profiles. Uninstall Thunderbird with SNAP Reinstall Thunderbird with apt-get

Try to Export on my Mac my 4 email account profiles to a .zip files. One of them is 38GB, so this won't work.

Try copying the the folders to a USB Drive and then moving them over to the user/<name>/.thunderbird folder.

Why can't I just drop them in there and then start thunderbird and it loads everything and doesn't ask me to provide a password for my email accounts? I mean wouldn't that be ideal?

What's the correct procedure?

The task bars on the top keep disappearing from my screen whenever I move my mouse away from hovering over them, I want to know how to stop and to keep them constantly on the screen at all times.

after the changes in firefox 131 the following pref no longer hides tab manager:

user_pref("browser.tabs.tabmanager.enabled", false);

To further clarify, tab manager is the arrow button (or the new icon in firefox 131) besides the minimize button of your firefox window. I want to hide that.

For several years I have been uploading a recorded video to my YouTube channel. For the past 3 weeks the videos are not uploading. I switched to Chrome, and they uploaded as they always do. These are .mpg4 SD videos, why is this happening?

My links on Firefox worked until I upgraded my Mac OS to Sequoia 15. Now the browser does not even get active and keeps buffering. Where is the problem and what can I do to solve it?

Considering so many companies have adopted Microsoft Exchange/Outlook365 and their IT departments have locked out other communication protocols, are there any plans to address this in Thunderbird? Right now a lot of us can't use it because of this limitation. The only solutions so far appear to be Owl (for purchase) or DavMail (which requires a separate OpenJDK 8 installation). This is a fundamental need in Thunderbird rather than a third party add-on. I like the look of Thunderbird but, alas, am not able to use it.

Just today after installing latest Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit and upgrading Thunderbird to 128.2, when I launch Thunderbird, after 30 to 60 seconds, the app goes "busy" with the hourglass pointer, and I have to kill and restart. Each time it still freezes after one mouse click. It has been working on this computer for months without problems until now. The only thing that changed was an update to the latest Microsoft preview WIndows 10 64bit from "Windows Update" a couple days ago.

Is this my system only, or are others having this freeze problem? I have to kill Thunderbird after waiting several minutes with it still frozen.

I don't want to change to another email program.
