When in thunderbird Mac (38.3 to be precise) I am struggling with something that should be so obvious and probably is. When my emails come in, I rightly get newer emails at the top. Say I have 20 emails that are unread that have come in since I last looked at my email, then I want to go to the bottom of that list (the bold ones (which is my setting) If I want to delete the email, i click delete and it goes. What happens next is my issue. The default highlighted email is then the older one below it. What I want it to do is be the one that was above the deleted one so I can go through all my unread emails in order from old to new working up the list. It seems so obvious that it should work this way but just doesn't for me. It does on apple mail which I haven't used now for over a year! Thats how long I have had this issue. Yes I can click up to the newer one but that adds another click when I am going through hundreds of emails. Any idea on the mac how to delete the email and the default one that opens is the next newer one above the deleted one? Any help appreciated. Thanks
