Dear Team, I have to download approximately 9000 emails in the inbox/ sent folders saved in yahoo with attachments. Though I could download after spending a week, unable to see the downloaded messages. Please inform how to proceed. Thanks. p.s: As suggested by chatgpt, I selected all messages in both the folders and downloaded them again. Please suggest best way to download the messages quickly and verify the contents. I have removed the drive from the computer that will not boot up. I hope to be able to transfer my "profile" to my new computer from that drive. I understand that I will need to have the same version of Thunderbird installed on my new computer in order to transfer my "profile". Since I can't access Thunderbird on my "crashed" computer, how can I know what version I had installed previously? How do I find where to load that version on my new computer?

I have a problem recovering my thunderbird emails.. My laptop was ruined in an accident. I have a new one. Unfortunately, I failed to ensure that my last few mozbackups were to my onedrive, so they are lost as well. My most recent backup is over 6 months old. I have rescued the hard disk from the old destroyed laptop, into a caddy which I can plug into the new laptop. This reads it as a drive F: Is there any way I can get thunderbird to read the f drive, so I can access their emails. If I could get them onto my new C: drive that would be ideal. I have been with Primus communications for many years, they are no longer supporting email address and I have to sign up with a new company they have nominated. I want to know if how my emails are managed in my Thunderbird screen will all be transferred and that I will continue as normal with Mozilla Thunderbird

Can I just copy the entire profile folder and name it as a backup or do I have to copy the contents of the folder?

I just want to create a backup to include all my email messages.

I added .eml files from backup into Sent folder in Explorer. TBird client continues to show the messages that are the .eml files that already were in Sent folder in Explorer. TBird client shows none of the messages that are the .eml files that I added into Sent folder in Explorer.

I have all my emails filed in 50 +/- folders in New Outlook. I would like to transfer/copy them to Thunderbird on a new computer (Windows 11). I have both new outlook and thunderbird set up on old computer (Windows 10).

I was just notified that my email provider is ending service after 30 years. I need to move all my folders and messages from my old Provalue account to a new Gmail account. Is there an easy way to do this? Can I just change the account name and password as well as the server settings? They are both Pop3 accounts. I also need to point 131 message filters to the new Gmail account. Is there a way to do this without having to rewrite all of the filters? Do I need to copy all of the folders and messages to the new account manually? I have 30 years of emails that I still refer back to occasionally. I need help, what do I do? Thanks in advance for any help I can get.

Using Linux Mint 22.3. Every time Thunderbird updates it loses the LocalFolders address. In relinking I have in error stored downloaded messages in two different LocalFolder locations. Is there any way to move all the existing stored data to one location?

Last night Thunderbird deleted all my sent e mails. I had 7000 items in my sent mailbox. This morning they all were gone, except for things sent since 10:00 pm last night. Our server provider said they were deleted by Thunderbird.

Does anyone know why this happened and can they be recovered.?

We do a back up on an external drive. Can we go back two days and get them reloaded?

Is there a way to prevent this happening in the future?

I am using an old PC running Windows 7...yes, I know we are beyond support.

I will preface this with no I do not have a backup - which is my fault. However I did not expect my account to be nuked into oblivion with no explanation.

As per the title, all my emails are gone. My local folders are devoid of anything I can use and am hoping that everything may be on a server somewhere. This is years of emails, important correspondence, bank information, business, etc. The ONLY thing I can think of is when I download the TB app for android and sync'd it using the QR on the desktop version of thunderbird. I then checked stuff the next day and everything was gone barring emails from that day, all folders, everything was gone. Is there no way to recover this?

I am considering changing from my current email server to another. How do I move my TB account from one server to another? And does the physical location of the server have any effect on my account? I am moving from the US to Europe.

I am trying to upload some backups after moving from one email platform to the other. The mailbox was deleted from the old platform and created on the new one and now I am trying to upload the backups but when the upload finishes, nothing happens, the profile stays the same, I don't see the backups added to the Thunderbird profile so that I may copy them into the new mailbox.

I;m using the Thunderbird import tool, but do not see the import for outlook. This has probably to do with the fact the my Thunderbird runs on the virtual Mint linux. (via VMWare). Outlook needs to be installed on the same system as Mint I suppose, and that is not the case. Does someone know a solution to this?

Linux Mint 2.3 (Cinnamon), VMWare Player 15, Windows 10, Outlook 2007. (the last 3 are not the latest !)

Please assist,I had to delete Thunderbird off my Desktop Computer & After that I copied all data from Thunderbird to my Desktop,BUT BUT when opening thunderbird,It comes up with as per attachment I have re done this 3 times & it is a stuff up & nothing like what it looked like or what the laptop looks like How can I fix this Problem for which I think I created Thank yoy Darryl

I followed the recommended procedure to transfer the TB profile from an older W10 computer to a new W11 computer (both using POP accounts ), via a USB Flash Drive. The folders are all listed on the USB profile copy and observed during the scrolling detailed view while being copied to the new computer. Nevertheless, they are NOT listed in Local Folders on the new profile. Instead, ALL the messages (approx 700 of them!) are presented as UNREAD in the inbox folder. How can I restore the original folder sorting?
