I think I will just permanently turn off automatic updates because Firefox suggest has just turned itself on again. I want to retain my search and form filling history like I always do but not have it automatically appearing when I am searching something in the search bar. this is a matter of privacy and Firefox still makes the same mistake over and over again. I can't get an IT job but this guy who keeps making the same mistake every time, angering millions of users every update still gets to keep his??? And the most hurtful thing is, we cant even talk to the people who make it directly to tell them they are messing up, I am speaking to a guy who has nothing with making the damn thing, who is probably just going to tell me to delete everything, which defeats the purpose of keeping history on.

Hello, Firefox has been giving me some troubles lately and I can't figure out how to resolve the problem. Since I haven't found any way to consistently reproduce crashes, it is very hard for me to tell if Troubleshoot Mode also experiences the crashes, and the time I can spend doing that is very limited. As previously stated, it is very inconsistent, but relatively frequent, sometimes it crashes very soon and several times in a day, others it doesn’t at all. Sometimes it crashes with several tabs open, sometimes with only one; sometimes it crashes while using a webapp, others it does so on the newspaper page. It might be more frequent while there are Electron Webapps open, but it's more a hunch than anything, since sometimes it happens without those. Sometimes I need to open XML files on my PC or in a network folder. If I open the file in the first tab in Firefox, it displays a neat and formatted rendering that makes it easier to read. However, if I open yet another tab, it displays a sequential text file that's difficult to read. How can I apply the style of the first tab to all open tabs? I've attached explanatory images (I hope). The second image shows how I'd like the XML file to always be displayed, regardless of the tab's position. Firefox 149.0.2 on windows 11

There must be a way to turn off this popup off. This is REALLY annoying when it covers a password box and to remove it i must click outside it and I lose focus on the password box. If you must put he box there then at least leave the first part of the password box clear so I cab click on it and not have to click again to get the focus back.

Hello! I just noticed that when I type a keyword related to one of my bookmarks into the address bar, Firefox suggests the bookmark to me—and also, my pi-hole query log shows queries being sent to that domain, even if I don't visit the site.

Is this normal? I'm confused as to whether I should have expected this. I had assumed everything related to bookmarks was stored locally. What information is being sent and requested when this happens? It feels like it could be a potential privacy issue to me, but hopefully I am misunderstanding something!

Where is the option to import passwords vis csv on the app? I've followed all guidelines on hemp pages but I don't have the menu options and or functionality that they are guiding me to. I have tried the mobile app and on desktop and neither provide me with the import CSV option. In fact there is no option to import passwords at all, It only appears to save passwords one at a time.

Additionally to this I have autofill and synchronisation turned on but they just don't work. Autofill never autofills on forms and nothing happens if I long press and select autofill. Similarly I have Mozilla on my laptop and on my mobile app and they will not sync together.

The functionality and UX have transversing over to this app from another app seems archaic and clunky, am I missing something?

I face an issue with the browser crashing when in google meeting (meet.google.com). The problem persist in a new profile created with 'firefox.exe -P' and also in the troubleshooting mode. The crash is triggered when I am in the google meeting (with allowed microphone) and I manipulate with windows of the browser - across multiple monitors (switching tabs, moving tabs between windows, closing firefox windows, opening them, "dropping" the tabs onto another applications - chrome, spotify - which opens a new firefox window). Sometime the crash happened once I closed the google meeting tab. Unfortunately it happens "randomly" and I was not able to come with a specific series of steps to reproduce the crash. But it happens always when I am in the meeting and play with the windows for a while.

The crash: Firefox freezes for a few seconds (~3s) and then closes itself - all windows. %appdata%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\pending contains a new .dmp file, but it has 0 bytes and no .extra file is created, hence it cannot be submitted via about:crashes. The crash reporter is not opened when firefox crashes. The attached troubleshooting information are from the new clear profile where the crash happens as well.

my firefox keep crashing when i join google meet and i need to do multitask so i open another firefox windows(private or not) it always crash few second after, i have tried the trouble shoot mode its still crashing, even the new windows from SSO request do trigger my firefox to crash. when the browser crash it does offer me to restore my session

I normally have 4 windows open, each with multiple tabs, for 4 work streams.

Whenever Firefox or MS decides to do an update, one window sometimes, 4 rarely, none usually, are recovered after restart. How can I ensure that Firefox remembers all the windows and their tabs before shutting down? Then reinstates them after starting up. After the last MS update, the option "Recently closed windows" was greyed out. But there had been 4 of them.

Firefox's recovery after simply rebooting the computer is more, but not completely, reliable. Win11 on a desktop computer

How to close status bar of the search bar when inputting? When I input a search key word, below will show a status(or a remind) bar. This is very annoying, how to turn it off? Thank you!

In previous versions of Firefox, using an alternative search engine was seamless: I just typed my keywords and clicked the specific search engine icon.

With the current update, the workflow is much longer. Now I have to:

1. Type the keywords 2. Click the dropdown arrow 3. Select the alternative search engine icon 4. Hit Enter

Why was this UX change made? It feels like a step backward.
