Which is the latest, V28 (on my laptop running Window 7 Home Premium) or V28 Mozilla Firefox EU euballot - 1.1 (downloaded today onto my desktop running Windows 7 Professional) and how do i update whichever is oldest to the latest, as they are both saying they are the latest versions?

hello frank, both these versions are exactly the same. the "EU euballot" suffix is just there for statistical reasons and indicates that the source of the download on your desktop was the browser choice screen that micsorosft is mandated to run: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BrowserChoice.eu
