When trying to import bookmarks from Explorer my "Import data from another browser" menu item is grayed out / not functional.
Trying to import bookmarks from explorer but when I get to the menu item "import data from another browser" under "import and backup" it isn't activated.

do you have another web browser other than Firefox
Yes, Explorer 8 but I have set Firefox as my default
Are you running in Private Browsing mode?
I don't think so... not sure what that is!
You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
- Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"
