Firefox for android has lost all my bookmarks

I am on vacation and have been using Firefox on my Android tablet for two weeks with no problems. Suddenly this morning, all of my bookmarks are gone! I can't resync with my desktop because it is several thousand miles away and turned off. What happened? Any suggestions?

I'm very sorry to hear that! I'm afraid I don't know what might have caused this problem or how to fix it. Can you provide some more information that might help us figure it out? If you open the "Preferences" screen in Firefox, does the Firefox Sync section say "Connected" or "Not connected"?

Hi - thanks for getting back to me. It said "Not Connected." I am home now. I've been able to do an initial resync from my desktop, but I still wonder why the bookmarks just disappeared in the first place. I'm running Android 7.0.1 on an Asus Transformer.
