yahoo keeps overriding firefox browser
i've downloaded firefox but it asks me everytime if i want to make it my default. i click yes and then the next time i open a tab it asks me a the same question again. when i open a tab yahoo always is the default. when i do a search for yahoo it shows up but the folder never comes up.

i made duckduckgo my default and it worked fine - no yahoo issues. the yahoo issues only seen to be with making firefox my default browser
There maybe be a misunderstanding. Whereas Duckduckgo can be a browser Yahoo can not.
Either can be a) the page Firefox opens on and b) the search engine used in either or both the address bar and the search bar.
So a question is always, what do you set as the default page when Firefox opens.
On the selection of browser, i.e. Edge, Firefox, Opera, Brave, Duckduckgo etc. this can be set in Windows settings > Applications etc.
Anyway if you are happy with Duckduckgo that's great

Check your Windows choice for browser:
Could you clarify your settings:
What search engine have you set, try Duckduckgo to see if anything changes.
What is you home page set to?
What do you have for new tabs?
Please also search this forum as there are quite a few related issues with Yahoo ..
