How do l get rid of yahoo which has taken over my laptop after trying to get flight tracking last week? I have always hated it and it is stopping me searching with Firefox. I am old & not too tech savvy.

While I can't help with the rest of your device in case that was added by some adware/malware, for Firefox the general places that need re–setting or removing similar unwanted services is described e.g. in support.mozilla.org/questions/1590908
