Hello,
Here is a small breakdown of a "security key" You can generate a security key by going into "Settings > Security, and click Create next to "Account recovery key". Once generated, keep in a safe location, and make sure to not lose it. To use it, just find the account recovery in the login menu. If you have lost your security key, you probably will have to generate another one again.
