Cannot delete or edit names from the address book
Trying to edit and update my Thunderbird address book but not able. If there is not a way, it certainly should be at least one.

Usually, highlighting an email address in addressbook, then doing a rightclick displays a menu with the option to delete. What happens when you do that?

Please provide more details. Are you unable to locate the addressbook? Are you attempting to add an address? Change an address? More information will be useful. Thank you.
I need to remove obsolete addresses.

There should also be a trashcan icon and the word 'delete' at bottom of the edit menu.

I have tried everything for this issue. How ridiculous something as basic should be so impossible. Right clicking gives a shaded out delete. Highlighting and using delete key in keyboard does not work. I am in the correct address book. grrrrrrrr
Just a wild thought: check in file explorer that abook.sqlite is not read-only.
