v128.1.0esr is very slow to process OPEN or MOVE emails within or from INBOX
The latest rev is VERY slow (several seconds) compared to prior revs to process email changes within INBOX (OPEN, MOVE, DELETE, etc.)
Something new is going on internally to the program while the hour-glass appears for a few seconds more than before (I did not change any settings w/ latest upgrades).

What is your anti-virus software?
using default Microsoft std. Defender ... same as before the T-bird update rev.
Anti-virus software is possibly the culprit.
Create an exemption in Defender for the Thunderbird profile folder, so that the Defender real-time scanner will not scan it. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-thunderbird-stores-user-data#w_how-to-find-your-profile
I tried this as far back as version 115. I excluded both the Profiles foler and also Thunderbird.exe itself. I am also using the std Windows Defender which is now Windows Security. But it made no difference. My inbox is slow to open and if I moves to any other folder (wg: Sent) and go back to Inbox it takes even longer to load back up. I have also tried the Compact Folder function but it doesn't improve the speed either.
