Around July 10, 2023 I lost the ability to login to Outlook Web Access (OWA) with Navy CAC. I was running Firefox v112 on Fedora Linux. I updated to Firefox v115, but still could not login into the Navy's OWA with my CAC. All login attempts generated an error stating, "No valid client certificate found in the request. No valid certificates found in the user's certificate store." I believe OWA changed a policy, and Firefox requires an update.

I downloaded Chrome v112 for Fedora Linux. (I am using Fedora 36 KDE.) I can now login to the Navy's OWA with my CAC once again. What does Chrome do that Firefox cannot?

I have now made Chrome my default browser, but I so prefer Firefox.

If the certificate secure logins fails with a Browser it can be how it was verified and you have to contact Navy CAC to update the certificate to work with Firefox. This isn't something that Firefox can do the site has to update their certificate to permit the access.
