Thunderbird has it's own import. Open the address book tab, pick import
Thank you for the reply, Wayne....I used the Tbird import, I guess I wasn't very clear....the backups were created by Import-Export NG, but I used the Tbird Import tool to try to restore them. sorry for the confusion....
