Emails presentation on sent message folder
The latest version of Thunderbird (102.6.1) has made new designed messages presentation in sent items, where it seems are ordered by subject and not as old versions by dates and copies of each email sent. Although may be due to spaces and emails duplication, the new design is not friendly and practically, requiring time for searching and track emails.
It generates more confusion and doubts as; if has sent or has lost.

There are no changes regarding the sort order. If your 'Sent Items' folder is currently sorted by 'Subject' then at some point you clicked on the 'Subject' column header and therefore it has displayed sort by Subject.
click on the 'Date' column header to sort by 'Date'. If date is oldest at top and you want newest at top, then click on 'Date' column header again to reverse the sort.
The only change implemented recently was to set 'threaded' as default, but that has nothing to do with sorting by Subject.
To force all new folders to sort by unthreaded by default:
- Menu icon > Settings (or click on the gear icon at the bottom of left 'Spaces Toolbar' )
- Select 'General'
- Scroll to the bottom and click on 'Config Editor' button
It opens in a new tab and you may see a friendly warning.
- In top search enter: mailnews.default_view_flags
The default is 1 = threaded, 0 (zero) = unthreaded
- click on the 'pencil icon to allow editing
- Remove the 1 and type 0 (zero)
- click on the tick icon to save.
To set all folders in the account to use 'unthreaded':
- Select the 'Inbox' folder to check the sort is correct.
- View > Sort by > Unthreaded.
- then right click on the column headers (star,attachment,read, From, Subject , Date ) to see drop down.
- At the bottom of list hover mouse pointer over : 'apply current view to' then hover over 'folder and it's children' then hover over the 'mail account name' to see list and select the mail account name folder at the top.

Basically - to sort by Date with newest at top and unthreaded so each email is not grouped with any previous emails in same conversation, select folder and then set the following:
- View > Sort by > Select 'Date', 'Descending' and 'Unthreaded'
