This is actually a second time that this happens.

It happened also the last time I upgraded FF (from official Ubuntu repo) but I somehow restored the "old" profile and logins got back.

But this time I only have one FF profile under ~/.mozilla/firefox. The one which doesn't have the logins.

Have anyone experienced the same thing? And why is this happening in the first place?

Lockwise is such an important piece of code that IMHO should not be subject to such a failures.

Any hints on this much appreciated.

I moved this from the Firefox Lockwise forum to the Firefox forum, where more contributors will see it.

In case it helps:

Did you lose other personal data or files ?

Is the logins.json file in your profile folder empty ?

Do you have an "Old Firefox Data" folder in the ~/Desktop folder in case a refresh has been done ?
