I replied to an email and the reply is in my sent box but the little purple reply icon isn't next to the original email. I have tried a lot of things; Changing profile < Remove it and create a new one Re-installation of thunderbird Compacting folders

I'm using thunderbird with IMAP SERVER MOOD

does your imap server support the replied flag? There is never a question with POP because everything is local. But what Thunderbird can and can not do is often limited to what an IMAP server supports. They are not all created equal.
