Why does more than one tab open when I click on a new tab?
Whenever I click on the + in my Firefox browser to open a new tab, sometimes two or even three open at the same time instead of one. I would click on the + and one tab would open as normal, then all of a sudden two or three are opening at the same time when I try to open just one again. How can I stop this from happening?

Can you substitute a different mouse to see if that is a hardware problem?
As the springs for the mouse buttons are wearing out, sometimes a double-click is "registered" in the operating system resulting in more than one tab getting opened. And since the left mouse button is usually used most often, that button is the one that usually "bounces" the internal contact long before the right-button would do it.
Thanks for the suggestion. I've followed through on so many others but none of them worked. Hopefully this one will finally do the trick.
Bought a new mouse and problem sorted.
