No. Thunderbird is email client software. Pictures are normally stored in a folder named My Pictures. You would click the Attach button in Thunderbird and navigate to the Folder where you save your image.

I am totally new to Thunderbird in addition to being computer illiterate. Where is folder named My Pictures?

I have no idea what operating system you are using and this is really outside the scope of this forum. I am using Windows 7 and if i click the Start button PICTURES is one of the choices on the quick menu.

If I right click the Start button and select Open Windows Explorer it displays the PICTURES folder.

This is not to say that is where your images are stored. I have created a file on one of my other drives where I keep pictures sorted by year and day. It is probably a good idea to get someone to help you learn your file system so you can navigate to the folders you want.
