How to get old folders and emails imported from old webmail account?
When they moved to a new mail server my old folders and data in them was lost. I might still have access to the old webmail account for a while. The mbox import tool I tried did not import the old emails over so that they are usable. Subject lines are missing, and some of the emails are not readable.
How can I import from my old webmail account to my new Thunderbird profile so that the folders are back and the emails are not only viewable, but searchable? (Did download and try the Import/Export tools add-on for some mbox items that was sent to me, but as mentioned emails are not really functional)
Many of the emails have this sort of information at the top instead of just the normal message: -f46d0444e8ed039bf9051064efea Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary=f46d0444e8ed039bf4051064efe8
--f46d0444e8ed039bf4051064efe8 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8

I don't understand how you are gaining access to the messages on the webmail server. Import needs to see another client's stored mails. A webmail service keeps them in the cloud, on a server.
Where did the mbox files you have tried to import come from? You say they were "sent to" you - that would be an unusually helpful email provider.
I suspect that the problem here is that there are several different mbox formats, and the one sent to you is possibly not the same as Thunderbird uses.
Can you connect to the old account in Thunderbird, using IMAP? Then you could just move (in Thunderbird) the messages to Local Folders or a new account.
