I have to take a test and requires minimum 1024x768 screen resolution, when I go to change the resolution, i am not able to right click on desktop and get "properties" , nor am i able to set zoom to 100%. I only have Zoom in and Zoom out

I then used the windows "help" and found "click to open display settings" on which I changed the screen resolution to 1024x768 When I went back to my test to check again if I had met the requirements, it said my resolution was 751x563 I have tried every possibility from lowest to highest and it still says I have not met requirements.

Most likely your monitor has a higher resolution without trying to set the resolution for Firefox, so I would undo the 1024x768 change, and restart Firefox using your full browser resolution.

The problem is that when you zoom a page in Firefox, it adjusts the reported resolution to the amount of pixels that will fit with the current zoom level. You can check my resolution inspector test page to see how, as you zoom larger and smaller on the page, Firefox reports different information to websites: http://dev.jeffersonscher.com/resolution.html

You may have zoomed web page(s) by accident. Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems.

  • View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl/Command+0 (zero))

You can zoom out if necessary to get accepted screen dimensions.

Try to set layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to 1.0 (default is -1) on the about:config page. This pref setting affect the reported screen dimension as well.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
