Thunderbird 38.1 starts but nothing displayed.

Have had Thunderbird running perfectly fine on my Windows 8.1 PC.

This evening I can see that 38.1 was installed, and now Thunderbird does not display at all however I can see it running in the Task Manager.

Better if you start in safe mode ? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/safe-mode
