Many users would like to be able to use Firefox Browser on their smartphones running Windows Phone without having to modify or change their O/S. It would facilitate transfer of information, bookmarks, etc between the various platforms often used by an individual user. In the case of company phones the individual user usually doesn't have a choice of O/S on the smartphone provided.

hello, i know of no ongoing development or efforts by mozilla of porting firefox to the windows phone platform. originally there have been technical and legal hurdles in the microsoft app store which discouraged mozilla from starting any developments in this direction. i don't know about the current situation, but since mozilla is now focusing its energies on creating firefox os as open source web-based platform, i doubt that you will see firefox on your windows phone device in the foreseeable future...

Thanks for the info. It seems as though Microsoft is not committed to supporting Windows Phone to bring it to"maturity" and easy implementation of the O/S via cooperation with developers. Some level of subscription to open standards appears to be a fundamental element of a broadly successful O/S. If users can't find applications that span multiple O/S's either the O/S and/or application will suffer. Users are looking for COMPLETE plug and play compatibility across O/S's.
