IMAP OWA can't send mails
Hi,
I've recently noticed some odd behaviour with some of my IMAP folders in Thunderbird. I have two accounts linked:
1) GMAIL account 2) OWA account
The OWA account has recently started playing up, such that I can receive mail, but Thunderbird times out when attempting to connect to the (outgoing) mail server. I have tried the following
1) Deleting the account profile and re-adding it: this seemed to fix the problem for 24 hours, though today I can no longer send mail from the OWA account 2) deleted all .msf files relating to this IMAP account - though when restarting Thunderbird - all of my old mails are downloaded again 3) Compacting all folders
From reading around had thought it was a space issue as my local IMAP folder was up around 700mb.
I haven't changed any other settings and everything was working fine until about 2 days ago. Does anyone have any ideas how I might fix this?
I'm running Thunderbird version 31.2.0 on Ubuntu 14.04.
Thanks for any help given in advance....
Martyn

Well, you have fiddled with eveything to do with receiving email. You need to look at SMTP settings for sending.
The last "account" is "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" and this is where you'll find settings for sending.
I use OWA via Davmail; how do you access it?
I use OWA through Thunderbird. It worked first time when I set the thing up months ago and was happily receiving and sending mail. I haven't changed the outgoing mail server settings...
