Why have amazon prime videos stopped working with firefox and how can I fix it?. It was working last week and suddenly stopped. Now all attempts to play videos are met with a permanent Amazon hourglass.

Multiple Firefox tabs, including xfinity streaming. Pick non-xfinity tab, then xfinity streaming tab and am automatically logged out of xfinity. Behavior just started happening and doesn't happen on Microsoft edge.

Movies and shows available in Amazon Prime will no longer stream. The Play button is stuck in loading mode.

I have checked to see that all the appropriate settings are as they should be. Play DRM-controlled content is checked off. Google Widevine is active. Last week, I could happily stream. Now I cannot.

When I copy the Amazon Prime URL into Microsoft Edge, everything works as it should and I can stream.

Please help me figure out why this is happening (other than a bug in the latest upgrade???).

Unfortunately I cannot browse the website of the second largest Swiss banking group anymore since the latest browser update. The navigation and hyperlinks, buttons etc. cannot be clicked anymore:

I am an enthusiastic firefox user and have repeatedly donated money to the mozilla foundation. I would be very sad, if due to the problem with accessing my bank, I would have to switch to the chrome browser. For the time being I have to use chrome for accessing my bank account, but I hope that you can investigate and find the compatibility problem, so that I am not forced to switch to chrome permanently.

If I change to a different tab (from Xfinity) and go back I am getting logged out and have to re log back in, even if I check the box "Remember Me" This does not happen with Edge, and seemed to happen from the latest update from Firefox on Oct 20th, 2026. Is this going to be the new normal

I have used Fire fox with https://www.lloydsbank.com/ for s few years without issue. This morning when I go to the website I select Log In > Personal and get the erro "403 Forbidden" this happen on my linux laptop and windows 11 pro pc

Brave browser on the linux pc work and I can log into the website successfully.

I have repeatedly removed/cleared browsing data for the specific site, made an exception for that site too but there is no change. This is obviously a firefox problem as the same error occurs on windows.

I have also disabled my extensions on the linux laptop firefox. My firefox version is 158.0.1 64 bit.

Updated Firefox browser for desktop on Mac to 158.0 on 10/15/26

On 10/14/26 using previous Firefox version 157.0 on Amazon.com Prime Video section, pages would load properly and videos could be played properly.

10/15/26 using updated version on Amazon.com Prime Video section, page would initially load properly only to later freeze. Videos could not be played. And freezing could not be corrected unless closing the tab on the browser.

10/15/26 using Safari browser on Amazon.com Prime video section, pages loaded properly and videos played properly.

Clearing cache and site data on updated version of Firefox did not have any effect. Pages continued to freeze and videos unplayable when starting over and navigating to the relevant pages.

Steps to reproduce:

go to amazon.com login to account go to prime video page

expected results video selection appears and user can select and play videos

actual result video selection appear but freezes after a second or two,. videos cannot be played

I sometimes experience issues when accessing web-based email services through Firefox and want to understand whether browser settings or extensions could affect them. When using a bulk email service provider such as iDealSMTP, what Firefox settings should users check to troubleshoot email-related issues? Have you experienced similar problems when accessing a bulk email service provider through Firefox?

Today, 2026-10-24, it appears google is blocking me from using most tabs in Firefox. Versions are 115.18.0esr (64-bit) and 100.0b7 (64-bit). Worked fine yesterday. I have various Win 7 versions on my three machines. I've been getting warning messages from google for some time about stopping support for Firefox and I contacted them to get a date, but never received a reply. On one machine, when I start Firefox, it immediately dies. On the other two machines, it only lets some websites run, but not my personal gmail or my HSU student gmail. I was planning to install Win 11 on at least one machine, just have done so yet. I could try upgrading to 115.43.1esr. Yes. I am a bit of a Luddite; I started working in computers in 1977.

I have no issues on other sites, even sites with embedded video content.

YouTube, however, performs extremely poorly whenever it is the active tab. Page loading is extremely slow visually - the page itself appears to be loaded, but elements haven't appeared, and some elements that should disappear when video playback begins (the YouTube logo, or the play/pause icons) persist on top of the video. Buttons and icons on the page are extremely slow to respond, even scrolling is very slow, and sometimes even mouse movement is slow - clicks take anything up to 15 seconds to register, and it takes several seconds for hover highlighting to appear.

Video playback, when it starts, may not actually be shown - that is, the audio plays, but nothing happens on-screen. Pressing pause often takes several seconds.

And, closing and reloading the tab often takes far too long as well - as in, the time between when I actually click the reload or close, and Firefox actually responds.

Sometimes, I will get the warning banner that the site is slow, but not always. If the banner appears, as long as the video is already playing clicking 'Stop' on the banner seems to resolve the issues (but, I can't use functions like the comment box, 'like' button, search bar, etc). If I do this without the video playing, I can't start the video - the playback controls no longer work.

I am reluctant to turn off uBlockOrigin or Disconnect to use YouTube. I've tried disabling other extensions to see if it makes any difference, and I've also tried switching off hardware acceleration and using the recommended performance settings instead. I haven't found any way to force YouTube to only show videos at 720p at most, but I've tried switching videos to 720p (and where I can, away from 60FPS). It makes no difference.

Are there more fine-grained performance settings that I'm missing? Is there something obvious I'm missing? It seems that it's literally only YouTube that performs this badly, and only for about the last two weeks.

Until a week or two ago, Amazon Prime Video worked without a problem in my Firefox browser. Now I cannot get Prime Video to open any show (the play button keeps spinning and is not clickable). The website is unresponsive as well, although it loads. Here is what I have already done for troubleshooting.

1. Updated Firefox to latest version. 2. Cleared cache and cookies. 3. Checked for hardware acceleration issues. 4. Disabled IPv6. 5. Tested in Private mode with all add-ons disabled. 6. Disabled Enhanced tracking protection.

This is an issue with Firefox since Prime Video works fine on other browsers.

If I load multiple tabs of this site it is really slow or keeps spinning. Then all of a sudden it will load fast. It runs good on Chrome but I don't want to switch to Chrome.

i setup synology openvpn and can log in via Chrome on my phone (openvpn is setup on phone also to connect to NAS). However, doing the same thing with FF causes FF to do a google search and it comes back saying it cant search it because it is AI or gives me a blank screen that goes no where. For the record, Samsung browser doesnt work either. It isnt a showstopper because Chrome works. But I would like to know why FF does not work and if it is pilot error. I use the same address I use in chrome (https://192.168.xxx.xxx:5001) and also the ddns address https://[name].synology.me:5001 that produces the AI message.

After the recent Firefox upgrade a couple of days ago, I am unable to get to my Questrade login page. I click login, I get a white page with a message in bottom left hand corner "transferring data from login.questrade.com..." and no further response. I am able to login with MS Edge, and Firefox is able to access all my other websites except this one.

I have run through all the things to try in the Firefox support article "Firefox can't load websites but other browsers can" to no effect.

• cleared cookies & cache
• cleared recent history
• turned off DNS over HTTPS
• Disable IPv6- changed to true
• changed Proxy settings to No Proxy

I've turned off Bitdefender firewall and antivirus apps to no effect and ran a full system scan with Bitdefender. I really don't want to have to use a different browser each time I want to access questrade site. I would really appreciate any advice as to what else I could try to resolve this issue. I have been unable to sign into my Amazon account on Firefox for quite some time. I can open the account on Chrome or Microsoft Edge. I have tried everything recommended by Googling the problem such as clearing cache, etc. but nothing has worked . Firefox has been my default browser but I'm thinking I should change to another browser. Any Suggestions would be helpful.

Using Firefox browser is resulting in a message that states that Firefox is not operable with mail.fcconnexion.net. Your info is stating that there is a problem with the website. If that is the case then why using Microsoft Edge or Chrome allows access?
