For the past two weeks and more I've had difficulty getting access to my Yahoo e-mail accounts. I've also noticed that Firefox is updating more and more, sometimes days in a row. Yahoo says the problem might be with the way Firefox handles my account. After spending yet more time with them this morning, this is the suggestion they give:
"Yahoo may prompt you to change your password if cookies are blocked or deleted, or if your browser is set to clear cookies every time you log off. This makes Yahoo treat each sign-in as a new session and triggers extra security steps, even if your password is strong.
To help reduce these prompts:
Make sure Firefox is set to accept cookies from Yahoo. Here’s how: Enable cookies in Firefox
Try keeping cookies between sessions instead of clearing them every time you log off.
I don't know how to do enable Yahoo cookies. :-(
Being unable to access my e-mail is a serious matter for me. I've used about a dozen new passwords in just a couple of weeks and am frustrated beyond words. This has never happened to me before.
Help, please!
