I had Firefox installed and working perfectly fine , but I had to factory rest my MSI laptop (windows 11 home) because I had suspect suspicious files I needed to get rid of, after the new install of Firefox each time I try to sign into a google account I would be able to type 2/3 letters and then Firefox crashes and closes down , I had uninstall and downloaded a fresh install from the microsoft store

Recently when I try to download a file Firefox seems to give it a random amount of time before it attempts to open the file. For small files this isn't a problem, as it always seems to give at least a few seconds, but larger files get cut off. This leaves the file corrupted/incomplete.

I have no idea why is started doing this. Just one day it started opening everything I downloaded, be it PDF, image etc when complete. I turned this off and it has stopped for things that download properly, but it's still doing this 'cut off' attempt to open.

There's a problem with video playback on firefox, where after a while/randomly, the thing happens as shown in the image. I've uninstalled intel graphics driver and reinstall, didn't work, I've refreshed firefox, didn't work, I've fully uninstalled firefox and reinstall, didn't work, and when the error occurs the igpu is at 100% usage (and ram/vram usage is not full). The whole firefox app will be laggy but not windows, and upon pausing the video only will firefox be free of lag, and a refresh will solve the issue. However, it will occur again once in a while, doesn't matter the resolution or volume, and not just youtube but all other video players. It does occur more frequently and predictably when the video is paused for some time, or when the computer sleeps for a while, and I think it has something to do with the way firefox handles ram. (just my guess)

The only fix that worked was setting media.wmf.dxva.d3d11.enabled to false, which is undesirable as it increases cpu usage by at least 20% as well as increasing my battery discharge. Other fix includes using other browsers, using my nvidia rtx on firefox, and (not totally sure) setting the resolution lower.

Also, after the error occurs/before the error occurs, firefox doesn't do that blink-in-blink-out animation when going fullscreen on video players (like chrome), which can be fixed by exiting the firefox application completely and restarting it. Refresh doesn't work here.

Why is my credit card blocked on my favourite shopping site? Everything was fine until the end of December. My cards are not blocked by the bank or Visa or Mastercard. I've checked many times. Hi there, I just got a new work laptop and tried to sync my firefox browsers so I could keep my passwords and bookmarks from my old laptop. Unfortunately I forgot my password, so I had to reset it on my new device. I logged in again on my old laptop but it's still not syncing or updating the bookmarks on the new laptop. Is there any way to move my bookmarks and passwords over to my new laptop? Thanks!

For a while now, several months anyway, many of the sites I visit work in Chrome but no longer in Firefox. The sign in or login buttons do nothing, petition submit buttons do not work, etc. I can enter information in the required fields, but I the send/submit buttons do not work.

My test page is the log in for a course I have purchased. Here's what I have tried so far:

    Turned off enhanced protection 
    Paused AdBlock
    Ddisabled Privacy Badger
    Whitelisted the site on minerBlock.

Still no joy.

Website https://www.sparda-bank-hamburg.de is not funktioning anymore after Firefox-update to 134.01, even after deactivation of Firefox´optimised tracking-shelter for this website. Login and Logout on this website is no more possible. I cannot us the opened Cookie-mask for this website anymore. Could you, please, assist to find a solution. Best regards Erich Fülling

I am using standard tracking protection, i checked Don’t enable HTTPS-Only Mode, i cleared cookies, nothing work.

I use Firefox version 134.0.1 on a Linux Mint Cinnamon 21.3 OS. For a few weeks now, a semi-transparent address bar has been displayed in the top left corner of web apps that I have created. I have attached an example image. Is there a way to hide this bar in the web apps? I find it extremely annoying.

Since installing Firefox on Ubuntu 24.04 from the mozillateam-ppa, I can't simply open normal files like .pdf with my preferred OS-application (evince) by clicking the link. Instead a "File Link" handler (see attached image) opens for any such file, be them .pdf, .odt or whatever, and this handler only knows one default and has to be told all possible applications by hand.

How can I configure to Firefox to open any file by the preferred OS-application.

I received the following error message when trying to connect with a site which I have been using for several years. The advice below the error message directs me to contact the site owner, but I can't do so if Firefox will not let me access the site. What to do?

When I type in the search bar, for example, 3+3 (also tried 3 + 3), when I enter, it will give me this "3 3" and will just show results instead of the calculator.

It, however, still work normally if I were to write "3 plus 3"

I have always had Firefox as my browser (senior citizen - desktop pc for 12 years. Yesterday everything worked fine, and today nothing works! I have done nothing to cause this - no kids, animals, etc. Please help me and restore my F.F. browser and all settings! A while back I posted: Firefox NO LONGER adheres to "Ask if you want to Save" option..." Somehow - it was fixed after I posted - so I am trying again.

ALL my Application settings are correct - It says the browser is up to date - I am Windows 11 - Laptop. I don't know if it was an update that was just applied - I think it must be - As this was FINE yesterday - but NOW - When it press save - it automatically saves to a Download folder - It WILL NOT let me CHOOSE where to save. AND as you know in Settings, It says WHERE to save "DOWNLOADS" - you CAN change that - BUT - EVERY SAVE is DIfferent - I CAN'T and have NEVER saved something in the same folder every time - This was NEVER a problem - Just TODAY - so it has to be some upgrade that happened when I rebooted my laptop today. I have attached a screen grab - so you can see I have almost EVERYTHING as ALWAYS ASK - including Microsoft Word. HELP!!
