As stated. Opening a tab with the button or shortcut locks up Firefox. I have tried refreshing and then reinstalling Firefox, but this has not helped.

On Sunday October 5, 2025 I began experiencing an issue with gocomics.com. I thought it was a temporary one that would resolve itself. Monday morning it was still happening. I contacted GC thinking the issue was on their end. They were unable to replicate it. They asked me to try to go to the site using the private window on FF. I was able to access it just fine. Therefore, we know it is not GC. I was also able to get to their page on Chrome.
I tried again on Tuesday. Same issues. I had already read on some forums where others were getting the same loop that I am: https://amub2c.b2clogin.com/amub2c.onmicrosoft.com/B2C_1A_GC_SIGNINSIGNOUT_POLICIES/oauth2/v2.0/logout?post_logout_redirect_uri=https://www.gocomics.com
It was suggested to try refreshing FF. I did that. Didn’t work. Gave up again for the day.
This morning, I tried uninstalling FF. Didn’t work. What else is there left for me to try?

I have been trying to filter out and delete emails with certain URLs in the HTML section of the body of the message.
I can get the Body filter to activate and delete the email if I send the specified URL within a simple text message. So the Body filter can activate on sequences in the text part of a multimode or simple text email.
It doesn't, however, seem to activate for the thing I truly need, which is to see a URL (or other sequence) in the HTML part of a multimode. It appears to ignore the HTML section.
Would it be possible to either:
1) allow the current Body filter to scan all parts of a multimode message? OR
2) create a new filter, perhaps named Rawbody, or Raw, etc., which doesn't break down and separate the parts of a multimode first, but simply does a raw scan of the entire body: text, HTML, and all?

It looks like it trying to do, but something blocks it and it ends up on a blank screen. I can get to yahoo if I then type in the address. I have checked and the home page is set correctly. I have refreshed Firefox several times. I uninstalled it, and re-installed it. It still opens to a blank page. I am running Windows standard security stuff.

I recent upgraded my work computer to a new Mac mini. I reinstalled thunderbird but I am having issues with the drag and drop feature for email attachments.
Normally when I receive an attachment I am able to drag and drop the attachment to the folders on my desktop. This feature has not been working. I have tried doing this in troubleshoot mode and have had the same issue. I’ve also deleted thunderbird and reinstalled it with no luck.
I am on Thunderbird version 143.0.1 (64 bit) My MacOS version is Tahoe 26.0.1
Any suggestions on how to fix this issue would be amazing. Thank you!

E.ON receive emails I have sent to them and I am able to receive emails from just about anyone else eg shop, banks, contacts, etc etc . Can you help me fix this/explain why it is happening? I have 2 email addresses linked to Mozilla Thunderbird: kurtj1942@hotmail.com and kurtj1942@gmail.com. I can receive emails from the Hotmail account, but I cannot send. From the Gmail account, I can both send and receive. Why can't I send from the Hotmail account?

Then it searches and searches, and I can't cancel without forcibly closing Thunderbird. How can I change this? Why can't I do it manually? Problem 1. I've been using Thunderbird for a very long time. Everything has always been fine. But recently, I've been having trouble sending email from one of my accounts. When I try to send a message, a message appears: enter the password for the user... Entering the password doesn't help, and another message appears asking me to contact the network administrator. I contacted them, but they didn't find the cause of the problem, but they suggested changing the password, which I did, and reinstalling Thunderbird, which I didn't do for fear of losing all my email. Changing the password helped for maybe two weeks, and then the problem started all over again. The problem only affects one email address and only on one computer. Sending messages from that address on Android works without any problems.
Problem 2. I installed Thunderbird on my Android phone and encountered a problem when adding two accounts: the first installed without a problem, but I can't install the second one because every time I try, I get a message that the incoming mail server check failed - unknown error 42.
Problem 3. I'm trying to install the program on my second phone - it downloads 99% from the Google Play Store and that's it.
Is there any way to solve these problems, or should I change my email program? Best regards, Andrzej Witkowski

My Thunderbird calendar refuses to display dates in European format, namely day-month-year. I have read lots of helpful hints on the forums and tried everything, but nothing changes. My system is Ubuntu 25.04 with Cinnamon 6.4.8. Thunderbird version is 140.3.0esr (64-bit). Some of the suggestions refer to settings that are no longer there compared to earlier versions. For example, Settings > General > Language and Fonts has no format options. I have also used the config editor while TB was not running and added ntl.date_time.pattern_override.date_short and ntl.date_time.pattern_override.time_short, without any effect. Dates in the calendar still always appear in the illogical American month-day-year format. This is confusing, to say the least ! Has a solution been found to EASILY select the locale and formats that should be used? At the moment, the settings are under different menus and in different locations, and TB seems to be making it as difficult as possible to get these set - permanently ! - to the user's preference.

Thunderbird being used as IMAP client for Gmail - with no issues, until recently when an existing email recipient, who sits behind the Barracuda Networks system, fails to receive mail from Thunderbird's recent versions because it is rejected and blocked by Barracuda. I have tried using plain text formats and checked that SMTP server accounts are correct all to no avail, a 550 blocked is the result. The Thunderbird ver is 143 64 bit - However mail from an earlier 32 bit version 115.5 was successfully delivered, later 32 bit ver 140 failed to deliver through the Barracuda system.
Email from Google's own Web client gets delivered and mail from the Android mobile phone app likewise arrives. A simpler IMAP client (MailSpring) manages to get mail thru Barracuda so what has Thunderbird done to appear a threat to Barracuda ? BTW Mailspring is sort of 'Ok' - but it just isn't Thunderbird - it was installed only as a test vehicle !
