My Thunderbird calendar refuses to display dates in European format, namely day-month-year. I have read lots of helpful hints on the forums and tried everything, but nothing changes. My system is Ubuntu 25.04 with Cinnamon 6.4.8. Thunderbird version is 140.3.0esr (64-bit). Some of the suggestions refer to settings that are no longer there compared to earlier versions. For example, Settings > General > Language and Fonts has no format options. I have also used the config editor while TB was not running and added ntl.date_time.pattern_override.date_short and ntl.date_time.pattern_override.time_short, without any effect. Dates in the calendar still always appear in the illogical American month-day-year format. This is confusing, to say the least ! Has a solution been found to EASILY select the locale and formats that should be used? At the moment, the settings are under different menus and in different locations, and TB seems to be making it as difficult as possible to get these set - permanently ! - to the user's preference.

Yesterday I upgraded my PC from Windows 10 to 11. Today I discovered my Local Folders are not visible. Searching tells me the messages still exist, but TB does not show the folders. I did the same upgrade a month ago on a laptop (Windows 10 Pro to 11), no problems. I didn't externally back up the messages as I am a dinosaur and don't know how, but at least they are still on the hard drive. Thousands of them though so I need the local folders back. Tried all the fixes I can find on the Community Forum, without success. Can anyone help please? Bob

After a re-start, my Firefox browser on a Dell laptop lost all history and has since also not been collecting websites visited. When opening a new tab, the shortcuts and recently visited websites are also gone and no longer being collected. My CCleaner recently updated itself to a new version but I unchecked the delete history for Firefox (which treacherously is clicked by default - I fell into that trap before). Happy to blame the new CCleaner but that would not explain why history is not being collected now - to me the fault seems to lie with Firefox instead. Another possibility that went through my mind: Is Microsoft sabotaging users of Windows 11 to force them to buy new? PS: Under "Privacy", "History", the setting is "Firefox will remember history", as it always has been and should be. But it has forgotten all previous history and it is no longer collecting any new history either!

Keep having issues with https://www.asda.com while using firefox. You go to a category or sub category and either no products load in or you get just products they want to advertise at you like the "popular now" in the attached screenshots. Sometimes refreshing can bring up the products for the category but not reliably. Both attached screenshots were taken with troubleshoot mode turned on.

Dear Firefox Team,

It has re-occurred to my Firefox Browser of the latest version of 115.28 with some websites which I have recently visited however which have appeared 8 grids of blank or white pages again under "Recent Activity" as attached with the image for your technical troubleshooting suggestion.

Those 8 grids of Recent Activity in the older version of Firefox browsers used to have shown colorful graphics or images representative of the recent websites I visited in the recent past.

May I know what I am supposed to do to recover those graphics or images?

Kindly offer any suggestion or solution?

I would like help removing one of the folders called drafts as it is empty and uses the other for subfolders. I have tried right clicking but it has no effect on removing it. Only the draft folder where the subfolders are located can be removed. How do I remove the extra draft folder. Thanks in advance for your help.

I have been a long time user of FF and have been puzzled by it's recent failure (to both start, and subsequently re-install) For the last 18 months I have been running Win 12 without problems. That is until last week, when I can only assume the Tuesday udates ( MS) has created havoc. I would appreciate any assistance as I am not fond of MS Edge, or Google Chrome. Dave Hickman.

I use Thunderbird on Windows and on Mac. I'm wondering why the startup time on Mac is significantly longer on MacOS. I'm currently on Tahoe 26.0.1 but Thunderbird has always been a slow starter. Can I change any setting to remedy this. At the moment I have two mail accounts configured both Gmail.

After installing Firefox on a new Windows 11 computer, when I click on the Desktop icon, a Firefox window opens but it doesn't open previous Tabs and the Application menus does not work. I can open new Tabs though and it downloads websites. If I click on the Firefox icon on the Windows Taskbar, Firefox operates normally.

Why doesn't the Desktop icon start Firefox so it works correctly?

Hi,

Every time I restart my Firefox browsers they will sign me out of my Mozilla account. I can see the email address associated with my account and 'Account disconnected'. I have to go through the process again every time I use it. I am using default privacy & security settings.

I am using :

140.3.1esr (64-bit) on Debian Trixie 143.0.4 (aarch64) on MacOS Tahoe 26.0.1 143.0.1 (64-bit) on OpenSuse Tumbleweed 20250929

I'm in the process of cleaning up Thunderbird e-mail before moving to a new computer. I started with 11,593 e-mails in my Inbox and 7,799 e-mails in my Sent folder. I'm now down to 7,634 in my Inbox and 4,965 in my Sent folder. I've allocated 2 weeks for this process and found that it's taking me about 3 hours per day to meet my daily goals. I'm finding that I'm spending at LEAST half the time responding to "Empty-Trash/Compact-folders" requests. There are times I can delete 50 e-mails at a time without getting a request. Other times I will try to delete ten e-mails and get the request. With the old version of Thunderbird I could literally delete hundreds of e-mails at a time. Can you help? Russ Bukwa Yardley, PA ps. I have just completed migrating my files and settings from my (not so) old windows 10 desktop computer to my windows 11 laptop. Everything seems to have gone ok, except that the Firefox bookmarks were installed and only work in the private browsing window. When I start Firefox normally, the window that opens does not have the bookmarks, and even if I enter a web address manually in this window, it will not connect. I can choose "New window" in the drop down menu and that window will have the bookmarks, but still will not connect. The only way to get the bookmarks and also be able to connect to the internet is to choose "New private window" from the drop down menu. The problem with that is that there have been occasions when I have had a need to examine my browsing history, which I can't do since Firefox doesn't save the history when in private window mode. I have tried the procedure to sync bookmarks, history, etc., but the procedure is somewhat confusing and didn't work for me. Can you simplify the procedure for me? Thanks, John Blakley

Have never liked the bright orange Firefox icon, it's too dominating on my desktop, I LOVE the older brownish firefox icon, it's just right. So every time you come out with a Firefox update I get out "Resource Hacker" and change the icon to the older one, pictured below. I mentioned this before, asking if you could just give that option, and didn't receive a response. You come out with so many updates, it's a hassle changing the icon every time, but I'm willing to pay the price to escape the distracting bright orange icon, but now suddenly Firefox won't let me alter the icon in the exe. Was wondering if you'd have any suggestions. Have used Firefox exclusively for decades. Thank you very much.

My windows 10 PC died. I copied the the profiles folder from the old appdata/roaming/Thunderbird to the new Win11 PC, but TB does not pick it up, asking to create a new account "John Doe". Any ideas? Best, K.

I was using the following CSS to hide the navigation images and show only text labels on the context menu for the Back, Forward, Reload and Bookmark Page menu options...

It worked up until a couple of versions ago, but something has changed, and my CSS is now broken, and those navigation icons are back.

Spinning circle when attempting to view a news articles. Tried other browsers and they all work Ok. My issue it seems with the FireFox browser. Thank you for any help.
