Ever since Outlook did an update, it will not function in Firefox on my laptop. I can log in and see the list of emails but can not view emails in the reading pane nor delete an email. I can move between folders but not that is about it. It works fine on my computer at work but not here at home. It also works when I open it in a different browser like Explorer. I have cleared my cookies, cleared the cache and even restarted in safe mode with the add-ons disabled and it has not solved the problem. Just wondering what else I can do. Would like to continue to use Firefox but don't want to have to use two browsers just to accommodate Outlook.

No, the answer is not "a major web browser has no way to support a major email provider". Though I noticed WestEnd has provided this same "advice" on several other Outlook threads.

Here's what worked for me (stolen from https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1232936 )

  1. Click the Library button (looks like a shelf with 4 books on it) and choose History.
  2. In the History menu, choose Clear Recent History.
  3. In the Time Range to clear drop-down, select Everything.
  4. Click the arrow next to Details to display the list of items that can be cleared.
  5. Select both Cookies and Cache.
  6. Click Clear Now.

When I tried just clearing the cache/cookies for anything on the *live.com and *outlook.com domains it didn't work. I had to clear everything to get Outlook working again.

Good luck!

Web Outlook is best accessed by IE11 or higher or by Edge. FF isn't the best at reading or handling web outlook emails. Your only other options is the Office suite that has outlook that you can set to read your Outlook emails.
