Mac OS: In Gmail Command Click Does Not Work Correctly

more options

When in Gmail if I hold Command down and click on any email it opens email in new tab and them jumps to that tab. This is WRONG. I should open the email in new tab but stay on current tab. This works on Chrome but no in FF.

Is there a setting in FF to correct this or is this a bug that FF needs to fix? If FF needs to fix this how do I report it to make them aware of this problem?

Hi, sorry never remember the commands on a Mac. Need to get to Options --> General and untick the box in Tabs When you open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance

First I am not sure what you are talking about. What Option-->General, is this in FF or Mac OS System Preferences? I can't find anything like that. In FF did look at the Preferences and there was an item there about what to do when opening a new tab and it is unchecked and only works with a plain hyper ling but not in GMAIL. Now what? Options is a term that Windows uses not Apple from what I can tell.

To emphasize the problem is with GMAIL and not hyper links. If I am in my inbox and I try to open and email and press COMMAND->click on email it jumps to a new tab where the email opens. It should not jump to that new tab. Also, when in the email if I click on "reply to post" to the same problem. This problem I am having is only with FF. Both Chrome and Safari work just fine. Only FF is screwing up.

The COMMAND key which is also called the Flower key by the icon on it and is used like the CTL key on a PC but is not the same key. Apple keyboards do have CTL keys which are used for other things. The COMMAND key is where the Alt key is on a PC but has an Option key is between the CTL & COMMAND key on Apple keyboard which is the ALT key on PC's.
