Is it possible to have a separate toolbar for downloads at the bottom of the screen?

I used an add-on, Download Status Bar to show the progress/state of downloads in a pop-up toolbar at the bottom of the screen. This add-on is not available in Firefox Quantum, so I was wondering whether there is a way to have the download button and downloads somehow show separately at the bottom of the screen.

hi, currently it's not possible for addons created with the webextension api to create additional toolbars in firefox unfortunately. maybe that's something that will change in the future though...

Thanks for the answer. If I understand correctly, the technology changed fundamentally, so maybe a new add-on could work to have the feature I am looking for. Are you (or anybody) aware of any other solution to get me the functionality I am looking for? This is basically the same as Chrome has (I do not want to migrate to it), that when you download something, a toolbar pops up at the bottom with the downloading/downloaded file.
