Can emails written be delayed in sending - this may be important in writing to different world time zones preventing email to be received by recipients at night times or hoidays.

When I click on an email in my mail 'inbox', items open in a 'send' window? Why don't they open into a 'read' window? Why are emails opened with red outline boxes and largely inaccessible? Can you help? Must I reload Thunderbird and Firefox? Are there tweaks that I am missing. I have spent several hours trying to sort this out, so far no luck!! Can you help?

AOL made me do a 2 step verification and now Thunderbird won't connect to AOL. Thunderbird keeps asking for my AOL password, which I enter, but it won't connect. I'm guessing it's because AOL wants the code that they text me before allowing a connection. So if this is the case, how do I get around it? Thanks much for any help.

I recently installed Thunderbird on a new Windows 11 PC. I am using Thunderbird 128.11.0esr on another machine and it works properly. I attempted to clone my 128 setup onto the new machiine by copying the Profile folder without success. Some settings were transferred, enough so that the inbox was filling with my emails. I tried to send a message. It failed with the message: "Sending of the message failed The message could not be send because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.gmail.com times out. Try again" As far as I can tell the SMPT server settings are exactly the same on the two setups: Description: Gmail Port: 587 Connection security: STARTTLS Authentication methon: OAuth2 Username TMerrillH Sending GMail using the GMail app works properly. Could it be something in the OAuth2 system?

Sometimes message pane box got blank on one or two of the messages. I tried disabling hardware acceleration, did not help. I can clear by restarting Thunderbird. What is causing this? I am on a Mac M2 processor.

I have mail in my calendar. [email removed]@gmail.com there is a reminder in the calendar. As a task. I can't delete it. Server error. It is not available on the Gmail server.

I used ImportExportTools NG to export messages from one profile and import to another.

I tried to export only selected messages from my one of my local folders (it seemed an option, but IET NG is not intuitive).

Whatever, the import process has created a sub-folder in the local folder of the same name, and there is a huge redundancy (duplication) resulting.

My question: how can I merge the sub-folder into the parent, when dragging and dropping is not allowed?

Group contacts have been established and the group is listed in the Address page. An email is prepared and the group name is inserted in the bcc slot. An x appears to the left of the group name. The Send button is grayed out and the email can't be sent. What is the problem?

I have around 2000 emails in TB but it is not syncing to my gmail account (only 1000 synched). How do I refresh/continue the synch? It stopped after emails from year 2018 but there should be emails there from year 2013. Thanks so much.

Thunderbird is not synchronizing with Mailfence. My other email accounts (Outlook, Gmail) work fine. TB connects to them, downloads message headers and displays the number of messages correctly. With Mailfence, the messages stop at "connected to imap.mailfence.com" and stalls there. The message disappears after a few seconds and nothing else happens. This happened this morning when I first launched TB. I then got an update to 128.11.1. No change. I did receive the Windows Update 2025-06 Cumulative Update sometime overnight prior to launching TB.

Hello guys: In MANY YEARS of using Thunderbird, my Incoming messages have started collected in Trash INSTEAD of in the 'Inbox' Folder ALWAYS set in 'Inbox' Folder set as the default: I have spent a lot of times searching for the cause of this malfunction but I can't find to find the cause and the way how to resolve this malfunction. Can anyone provide an effective help to correct this problem please - many thanks, Tony H.

I have had an ongoing problem with Thunderbird being unable to log into the various mail servers that I use. I've tried repeatedly to solve this problem and have been able to cure it in the past by clearing the cache, but it recurs over and over again. I cannot keep wasting my time like this. I'm an independent contractor and I need to be able to use my e-mail client consistently. I've got work to do! This morning, it's suddenly decided that it cannot log into any of the three services that I use.

Is there a lasting solution to this problem? If not, please tell me and I'll move on peacefully, but please don't keep me chasing my tail for something that cannot be fixed.

I have been using Thunderbird to access my centurylink.net email for years. Now, Thunderbird does not recognize my email credentials. it asks for my password but will not accept my password when I enter it.

I don't like threaded conversations view. I turned it off so my inbox doesn't show it any more, but search results do and I find it impossible to find what I need. Is it possible to turn off ALL of those threading features across the entire program? Thanks
