Restarted Firefox (W10 PC) and all of my history and bookmarks are gone. The subdirectory is present but EMPTY.

In addition Firefox is not recording ANY history and will not accept ANY bookmarks. The bookmark button simply does not work.

Is there a log for opened/closed tabs (that is not the History)? [Mysterious tabs randomly appearing and disappearing without leaving a History entry]

Once in a while, my firefox has been randomly getting a mysterious tab appear and immediately disappear, leaving me no time to check what it was. There isn't a clear pattern to what triggers it or when does it happen... I think it happens like once or twice per day?

I assume it's just some buggy extension updating itself in the background or something like that, but I wanted to troubleshoot this issue just to be sure.

I wanted to check a log with details about previously opened/closed tabs, but these mysterious tabs leave no entries in the History at all. I searched around and couldn't find anything that helps me further. Is there anything like that I could check?

I'm not really sure if Troubleshoot Mode prevents this problem or not, since I haven't found a way to reliably reproduce it.

(I'm on 64-bit Windows, last observed this behavior on 142.0.1, but I updated to 143.0 just as I was about to post this)

THE ISSUE: When opening Firefox, (Attachment #1 - below) appears. Seems to have nothing to do with any reality . . . as when I check in SETTINGS (Attachment #2 - below). 1. So, who's telling the truth? 2. How do I stop the popup (Attachment #1) from making it's nagging, inaccurate appearance?

Thank you / Nels

How do I stop the attached Newsmax webpage error message that I encounter daily? I am using Firefox on a Macbook with OS Sequoia 15.6.1. After updating to 143, my pinned tabs are grouped together and need to be scrolled through. There's a lot of space on the right side, which is very inconvenient. I can't find a way to disable this feature or even increase the pinned area. Green is free space, red is where you can scroll.

I am running the latest update for Firefox (143.0 (64 BIT) on a Windows 10 Dell laptop. Since the update on August 28th (prior update), my browser has been extremely slow, even with only one tab open. Task manager shows 95% memory usage after 15 minutes of browsing, and I have to end task on Firefox, then reopen the browser. I have run my Webroot antivirus and Malware Bytes, and my laptop is coming up clean.

I am not fond of Microsoft Edge, but I wanted to see how it performed. I have no issues with speed, so I can only guess that this is a Firefox issue.

Are there any known issues with the August 28th update?
