New system 8 computer. Downloaded FireFox and when I go to Options/Security the box and line which you should be able to check to save passwords is gray and will not allow me to check the box.

Did you set to Firefox always start in Private window?

  • Go to Tools >> Options >> Privacy , in Firefox will: change to Remember history, restart Firefox, now can you save your passwords?
  • Password manager
