My parents' computer turned itself off yesterday evening and now Firefox goes straight to the crash report, it does not even open a window, even when trying to start the browser in safe mode.

Can you at least bring up the Profile Manager to try to create a new profile?

You can also try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that works.

cor-el, thank you for your response. Whenever I tried to launch Firefox, it just went straight to a crash report, it would not load at all. Before I saw your reply, I decided to try installing the most up-to-date version of Firefox, and the problem was solved. Thank you anyway, though!
