How connect to CRAN 127.0.0.1:10263/doc/html/index.html
From the R Console, I make a help request and the following IP address is attempted:
127.0.0.1:10263/doc/html/index.html
I am unable to connect to this CRAN document site.
Suggestions?

Well, I do indeed thank the both of you for pointing out the problem and the probable solution (which was correct).
Obviously, I have set up improperly on my R installation.

hello, those files are likely situated in the /doc/html subfolder of the R-program folder on your harddrive, where you can access them directly. the whole documentation seems to be available online too: http://cran.r-project.org/manuals.html
127.0.0.1 is the localhost address. It points to your own computer.
