If you have Mac OS X 10.4 DON'T do it, because is incompatible with firefox 4.

Sorry, but that Chosen Solution was for user with a PPC Mac & 10.4.11, the owner of this thread has an Intel Mac.

Deb, you're going have to upgrade you operating system to at least Mac OSX 10.5 to be able to run a Firefox 4.0+ version.
